[Mister Blastman]

Back in closed beta there was a way to do this. A few of us lobbied support hard after explaining to them how it was done. They later assured us it had been fixed... This was back in June and July.

Apparently someone has found a new way to do it.

Come to think of it, I ran into a Stalker sometime last week with AC 20's and thought I was dreaming.

It would seem strange though to have the game Disallow any Mech to Launch when short even 1 Heat Sink, or an Engine (lol) but allow a mech with No ballistic slots available to launch with 30+ tons of Ballistic gear on board and be over-weight to boot.

Last night I thought something similar happened to me as well. I was in a Raven, and a stalker came around a corner and 1 shotted me. I thought I heard an AC going off just before I died, and on my damage board it showed I was hit by a UAC/5. The problem is there wasn't any other mech anywhere nearby. It might have been a shot from across the map.. but then why did I heard the AC round sound? I think PGI needs to take a look at some of the stalker builds going on.

They do have the new stat screens that show mechs and weapons used, maybe they could use that to filter some of these builds.

I've never seen anything that couldn't be explained somehow, either with luck or a bug (though the first time someone headshoted me from behind with streaks was...strange...)

And yes I've seen people with crazy setups (like an cat A1 with 6 srm6 and 2 gauss) but I've never seen anyone use those "extra" weapons.. so in dubio pro reo i just asume my hud glitched... (one time one of my team asked me how i fit 2gauss and an ac20 into my atlas and I'm pretty sure I didn't cheat )

Back in CB I had an instance where my Catapult C1 and Jenner D loadouts were somehow combined in the mechlab, and it let me drop. Only happened once, and resulted in a pretty nasty crash shortly after game launch into the map.

That was probably me :-) Fun times!
Of course this exploit has been reported and fixed. Mech's loadout is checked when you drop, and if it is invalid, you crash to mechlab. So unfortunately you cannot use CN9-AH, even though it's data is still inside client files.

MSI Afterburner is free if you have an Nvidia card and works great--as good as Fraps, if not better.

Or maybe you saw a Def in a new Hero Stalker Version and he "Secretly" Testdrived it and didnt noticed that he was on a open server....who knows!

You literally can't drop with an illegal build right now. It's impossible. There's plenty of bugs where the game says UNDEFINED ERROR AC20 or ECM COUNTER ECM COUNTER ECM ERROR, or you get a gigantic list of gear.

Sure does. I use Fraps for making videos though and for that the full version is handy.

In a game at the weekend, I got Headshot twice in a row (whilst moving evasively) and shortly after the rest if my team were astonished at their own quick deaths. Again dual AC/20 mechs.

I smell aimbot.

BEFORE anyone says something, I was towards the edge of river city headed to cap, I think its kappa, in the corner by itself, with full LoS on the area, in pops dude at micro short range, cores me and vanishes, I then could not switch to spectate at all... I am used to being destroyed having been playing Commandos alot to get their efficiencies for a week now.... but this was a bit suspicious to me, to say the least......

You probably should've done a search before you cried "cheat". Also, all you had to do was start a ticket by sending an email to support@mwomercs.com. Everyone should know how to take a screenshot. Just hit the Printscreen button on your keyboard and paste it in Paint (if Windows). I don't know how many times I heard "hack" thrown around in MW4:Mercs and yet no one ever had proof of anyone cheating unless their was a screenshot (and it was very very rare of an actual hack). When I see posts of someone saying they saw cheating happening in their game, I immediately think you just witnessed a good player. Without a screenshot you have zero proof.

Someone in my clan posted a link to a working MW:O aimbot they found not long ago (5 weeks to be exact). As soon as an admin logged in they removed the link, because even in a veteran clan you never know who might be tempted; not to mention the fact any of these hacks contain trojans out the yang. There are confirmed hacks for MW:O, regardless. Unfortunate as this is you must face truth when it's glaring back at you. I certainly did and I was appalled but it's still not information you share... given this thread it seemed fitting to.
