I see the following most likely to happen:

1 Light Mech:
Uller
Alt option: Puma, Dasher

1 Medium Mech:
Ryoken
Alt Option: Black Hawk

2 Heavy Mechs:
Vulture, Madcat
Alt Option: Thor, Loki

2 Assault Mechs:
Daishi, Masakari
Alt Option: Gladiator

Most of these picks are very common to the universe in terms of the games, and mechs I'm familiar with. This is necessary in addition to factoring "balance"... like filling tonnage gaps and/or roles.

I have yet to see a link pointing to where someone from PGI stated they "have 6 mechs 100% completed."

Anyone have a link to this, or is it just internet-rumor-turned-fact?

Yep, Brainfart on the Cougar. Firemoth makes a sound standin.
As far as the Summoner goes, it is a key Jade Falcon mech and they are THE Crusader clan so its a safe bet that it edges the Vulture. Heck it might Edge the Mad Cat as that is more of a Wolf mech and the Vulture is a Smoke Jaguar design.
I also think that we will get the IIC's of existing mechs to round this out some (as the difficult part of the mech creation process is animation, so reusing the existing mechs is very cheap). So Figure we will get 8 "ALL NEW" unannounced mechs, plus some IIC's.
That presents issues with weight classes though:
Light - Jenner IIc, Commando IIc
Medium - Hunchback IIc, ?
Heavy - None initially, Orion IIC eventually
Assault - Atlas II, Highlander IIc

id make a educated guess on this being concept art for the uller and madcat it is afterall the main art guys stuff.

If that's the case, I'm sad that he didn't make the Uller with the rounded cockpit in the art. It looks like he kind of copied the MW:LL original Uller design, before they put a rounded cockpit on it.

Also, check out these b-all-er Uller Alt Configs from 3050

(Uller S)
6 C Jumpjets
1 C SPL
1 C MPL
1 C LPL
1 C SSRM 4
2 C MG's

(Uller C)
3 C AMS
1 C ECM
2 C MG
1 C ER LL
1 C SPL
2 A-Pods
1 TAG
1 AEP (Clan version of Beagle Active Probe)

6 mechs I'll completely ignore to play the Jenner instead?

Also, I really hope for the Puma cause I wanna land on that and ride it around like the giant turtle that it is.

So nobody can link the official word from PGI on this then?

Right.

Looks like it's just a rumor that the OP turned into fact.

The gladiator makes sense. They have not announced a 95ton assault and the only real IS option is the lackluster banshee.

You could say the Turkina for 95tons is pretty well known for the Clans but isn't seen in the IS until Tukayyid.

Clan Jenner IIC is much more badass looking than an IS Jenner. Lasers? Nah, we'll put all the Streaks and SRMs on this thing.

You'll find it. Its really guess work. They just said 6 unannounced Mechs. People are assuming that those are probably the initial Clan Mech Announcements. It could just as well be 2 more IS, and 4 Clan Mechs.

*drools* GIVE ME NOW NOW NOWNOWNOWNOWNWONWONWNOWNOWNOWNOWNOW

I'm ripping those streaks off. God I can't stand anything that uses streaks. And holy **** that jump (210m vs 150).

Also, it has 4 variants (with the IIC 3 variant mimicing the original Jenner), so there's no reason not to add it, right?

Clan tubes are half the weight of IS tubes. Don't ask how this is possible. I'm willing to front money that they picked the mechs they picked because of the really nice clan refits/IICs.

Atlas has a modernized clan version, and the atlas 2.
Commando IIC.
Jenner IIC.
Highlander IIC
The unreleased, unannounced banshee has plenty of clan refits.
Hunchback IIC, twin UAC20 thug life.

So on. It'd be a shame if they were to release clans, and we all now have to swap from our favored mechs to clan toys. A clan atlas with different hardpoints and access to clan guns, and they're only on that atlas, but it uses the same skill tree as the IS atlases? That's cool.

As Vassago Rain has mention it makes sense to release IIC variants. If not initially at some point as a lot of the work has already been completed.

MadCat is a given though. Bit of a cash cow right there.

But at the same time doesn't that completely replace the old IS versions or are you more arguing like adding the Jenner IIC gives another Jenner with 6 missile hardpoints?

I looked through all of the Dev Tracker posts for the past week. Nothing. Same with announcements, and command chair. It's not on this forum - at least no PGI poster saying "hey guys 6 mechs done."

I suppose it could be on their twitter or facebook? But if not, then I'm sticking with my original statement. Without any facts to backup this premise, it seems to be another case of rumor-turned-fact.

Pretty sure it was mentioned in the video from PAX EAST people are talking about.

Well what's nice about Clan IIC Mechs is that they are mostly the same tonnage, Non-Omni Mechs, except with a sleeker, better looking chassis, and utlize all available Clan Tech to replace with lighter endo, ferro, engines, or weapons. They work with the current IS 'hard-point' limitation thing that PGI does.

In other words, they could add a IIC Mech to an existing IS Mech Variant tree, since most of the IIC Mechs don't have enough variants on their own.

More variants, like what we have now. The atlas C would be just another atlas variant, with the perk that it can equip clan tech. So they avoid the can of worms of mixtech by putting that in with specific variants.

Easier to balance, and less likely to make anyone mad. For instance, I don't want to switch from my trusty IS atlases to daishis, but if they gave me an atlas C, or an atlas 2? No complaints.

They should just make them all Medium. They will go as fast as IS Light Mechs with the Firepower of IS Heavy/Assault.

And have the armor of IS lights?
