OK. How many people would like to see the implementation of water resistance? I mean, I see these light mech zooming around all over the place on land, but running 120KPH in water just doesn't seem right. Most boats can barely go that fast.

I would like to see mines dropped into water from heavy mechs, that would put a stop to that.

Or populated by a mutated piranha that eats metal :o

While waiting for that patch I think water should have some effect. Not only that but turning on ice/concrete should have a risk of falling as well.

Also mech running up hill like it was flat ground also bugs me a bit.

This is one of few things that I can't get over.

Only if it looks like the mech is pooping it out.

This is the only thing that really kills me about MWO physics right now.

The mountaineering has to be fixed. If the maps have to be changed to facilitate that, so be it.

I was wondering where this was going to go, but I like your thinking. It is just one of the things this game is needing added to the list of needed stuff.

Given the fact that mech acceleration doesn't vary by weight, why should it bother you that it doesn't vary by resistance (water/uphill/downhill)?

No MOAR physics?

No! MOAR physics!

I want full physics... water resistance, wind resistance based on mech chassis, recoil from AC20, slight torso twist when AC20 hits side torso.... COME ON ITS A SIMULATOR

The biggest thing MWO is lacking is physics.

No thanks. All that would accomplish is making it pointless to go into the water on certain maps. And on maps like forest colony and river city that's unacceptable.

However one think that does need to be fixed about water is the fact it stops missiles and halves laser damage. That is the reason light mechs in water are so hard to kill.

I agree with all that except the wind resistance part.

Yeah definitely agree. I don't expect perfect physics but at least a nod I the right direction for extreme situations. Speed reduction with incline and in water are a minimum really. I'd love to see potential slipping and sliding especially at high speeds but I think that might be pushing things for most people ( and admittedly I'd probably have a hard time with it on my fast mechs as well).

I'm with ya. Water and uphill should cost more energy or slow a mech down.

i liked in MW4 when the slope is too steep.

instead of doing a moonwalk animation at a standstill. they made it so that your mech stops moving. i assume it does calculations to see that it can't move. then it simply stops movement so it doesn't look stupid.
