We have been having connectivity issues lately, whenever we try to establish a LAN network, to play MW4 multiplayer. Our computers have a clear, strong signal with our router, and we both have good adapters. We have tried various connection setups to resolve the matter, but have been unable to get a favorable result. We have also made sure (numerous times) that our fire wall is not interfering.
Has anyone else had a similar problem, and been able to solve it? We are not the most computer-savvy people out there, and it is likely that we have missed something.

Have you opened the ports for MW4 on the router?

This won't exactly help you, but I previously had to put my router in DMZ mode to be able to play MW4 online. This was about 3-5 weeks ago. I put the router in DMZ mode now, but I fail to connect. I have opened every port that needs to be open, and universal plug-n-play is turned off. **** sucks, captain.

Wow, I'm sorry, I haven't been on MWO much lately, and I forgot completely about this thread.

How do you open ports? I've heard a lot about them, but I don't actually know anything really regarding using them. How do I know which ports MW4 uses?

Thanks for your advice, but I don't have the MekTek version. It doesn't sound like it's the same problem.

Find your router brand and then model number on the list. It should offer a step by step guide on how to open up the ports on your specific router. If you can't find an exact match, you should still be able to find one of the same brand whose instructions are similar.
