I don't think anyone thinks you were one of them. However I saw one guy permantly dropping out of matches which is quite poor behavior imo. Some matches later I saw a group that did the tag and lrm5 thing.
This event was far better than the last two ones because it didn't need hard grind to participate. The flaw of this one was that assisting - like tagging or spotting - got you more points than K/D ratio or amount of damage done to the enemy. I do agree that killing shouldn't be everything in a team based game. But overrated assisting gives you a quite high chance of cheating with syncdrops.
Enough qq here. I liked that event and I am llooking forward to events in the future.
I agree.
The event was good, but was "exploitable" again.
- Syncdrops can screw things up totally
- Groups playing together with the solo tournament players shift balance
- No limit for spot/tag bonus on one side and teams without missiles on the other side (so no spot/tag bonus is given) screw the balance
- Group playing (as enemies) after you get to the top could prevent everyone elses chances.
So if you don't sync drop with friends, you are luck based what players you get on your and the enemy team.
You are luck based if your team has missiles (for tag/spot assists) or if your enemy is a group.
How about:
1.) Do not show the calculation or the results before end of the event.
This would mean, everyone would play more naturally (instead of kamikazeing with laser and tag to get as many assists as possible).
2.) Last man standing style where you get more % bonus for your match K/D if you are staying alive longer than others. (like a time bonus for longer matches)
This would need some indicator for "active battle" to prevent simple run and hide tactics.
3.) Accuracy bonus or even as the main point count.
This would need to be seperated in the weapon groups, because lasers and balistics have a totally different hit mechanic.
