CLAN WIDOWMAKER TURNS 17!


History...is often lost, time fades memory, people move on and new faces arrive. So it is with great pride that Clan Widowmaker announces its 17 year Anniversary this week.

Starting as a faction of pilots during the days of the Kali network the Clan over the years has had members who can trace their mech gaming roots back to the original Activision title that started it all. Others played the Genie Networks EGA Multiplayer Battletech and still more played the AOL and Gamestorm incarnation of the game.

We have been fortunate to count Widowmakers among us whom were members of Mektek and the UTS-Gaming League developers, professionals in the gaming industry and the everyday Joe that is the lifeblood of the gaming community at large.

This week we celebrate the current and past pilots who created a vibrant online community of high ethical standards for gameplay that over the years have helped add to a rich, vibrant and passionate Battletech subculture online and the current leadership looks forward to new horizons and challenges with Mechwarrior Online as Clan Widowmaker continues its journey as a gaming community.

The Clan Leadership thanks all its pilots past and present for the friendship, camaraderie and hours of fun shared in each others company, and raise our glass in toast to another year yet to come!
