I know I can't give him MC, but I'm sure he'd let me log in to his account if I asked. Its just his birthday nearly and wanted to give him some MC.

I mostly ask because I did this for Tera once, and it did not work (it charged me, but gave it to me, not them).

Anyone try this or have a suggestion?

If you both havePayPal accounts you can send him the money and then he can buy the MC and payout from PayPal to MWO. If its all done from one computer make sure the correct person is logged into MWO when making the purchase.

I would definitely suggest using paypal

logging into his account and using your credit information may be flagged as fraud, since the account information isn't going to match.

The company PGI uses for purchasing MC is Ultimate Pay. Ultimate Pay has cards you can purchase in the US. Their website https://site.ultimatepay.com/ has a list of stores you can find their cards in. Grab one of their cards, and have your friend redeem it. He can then use it to get MC.

Given the way PGI has it set up, you have to enter the number at the Ultimate Pay site. Then at the pay screen on MWO, it will tell you that you have x number of points (where x is the number of dollars you spent times 100. i.e. 25 dollars is 2500 points).

Nevermind. This used to be true, and although it looks like the same interface I'm afraid there's no longer any indication that ultimate pay still runs the payment service. Sorry about that.

Just tried it. Worked. It told me I had x number of points available and whether I wanted to apply them to my purchase.

I've suggested this method to him, but as he does not have one (and I know, its a good service, but he just doesn't), he actually doesn't have one set up. My paypal is associated with my account, and his has none associated with it, would it be bad to have 1 paypal to 2 accounts? A lot of people have more than 1 account (is that against the user agreement, so we keep it hush hush if you have one?)

When you log into your account and begin the process of buying MC, you first select the amount of MC you want to purchase, then it opens a pop-up window that is hosted by the ultimate pay servers (ultimate pay is related to play span). That popup window is a secure connection to the ultimate pay servers, which means transactions do not take place over the MW:O servers.

I would suggest simply doing a paypal funds transfer as a gift if you can't get to the same computer, but you could have your friend login to MW:O and then use your payment information to buy some MC. There is no requirement for the email account associated with your Paypal transaction to be the same email account that your MW:O profile is associated with.

However, there is guaranteed to be nothing wrong with a PayPal transfer.

Ah thank you everyone. I took the chance and logged into his account and made the purchase with my paypal. Worked just fine.
