here are a few i have collected/come up with.

-FIx the F-ing bugs!
Number 1 turn off; i had 3 different hud bugs in a row today.

-Multi language sites.
There are multi language discussion forums but not official info in that language. for example, i went into the Japanese discussion forum, clicked and translated the first post i found and it said "there is no information on this game in Japanese so i post here"

-Make your own official one (ohm's quick reference sheet and smurfy's mechlab)
Seriously by now you really should of made an official one of your own, instead of getting noobs to scourer the forums for information.

-media filing (specifically under video, is a mess)
There are alot important videos for noobs in that section but there is nothing short of watching all of them to figure which ones are information you want/need to miscellaneous. not only are there no titles but everything from development interviews, mech promo, trailers, training vids etc are all under one roof .

-search needs more functions.
not being able to group search results by date or latest posts or recently replied to is sooo...... wtf! someone finish my sentence please

-where you have (game/media/forums/community etc.) i would move training grounds there
when i was a new player i remember looking for any info was the hardest thing about this game.

-community volunteer teachers!!!!
a forum for it and not to mention a way for clans to recruit.

-8man have chance to get grouped with two 4mans.
8man games bring a difference level of competitiveness. competitive games are also successful games. back on topic, this will be a snow ball effect. there are loads of 4man out there but next to none 8man drops. if you can increase the amount of people willing to form a 8man.... you will have more 8mans. why do people form 8mans? because they want to beat the two 4mans. why do more people form 8mans? because they dont want to get stomped by the 8mans.

-in game dynamic music would be nice.
if this happens please let there be an option to turn that **** off on the same day as launch.

-lower the frequency on the hated maps.
but dont increase the new/liked ones to the point they come up 6 or more times in a row.
-that being said tweaks should be smaller and hot fixes should return to previous state.

in short, lack of clarity or structure from your site is minimal and hard to access and your bugs exacerbate the frustrations of any pilot. community/my additional ideas added below.


Additional ideas.

-matchmaking phase???.
matching average team tons seems like a nice easy place to start.

-social lobby updates.
needs some improvement. (im sure its on the way)

-pre-match lobby.
this will change the concept of just clicking launch to play. imo this is not a game clencher.

-ingame voip
make sure this one comes with mute functions or do not release.

-noob/trail match making split.
need a way like leveling to split noobs from vets to reduce the stomping.

matchmaker needs to be improved. integrated voip. dx11. information warfare needs to be completed or ecm tweaked.

I agree with almost everything here except the map thing...

YES, YOU TOO shall play on ALL maps, my founders money paid for it, YOU'RE PLAYING IT.

Fix the SRM,SSRM and LRM nerf....I only have 2 mech and there both half useless do to the Nerf and I really don't feel like spending Cbills to reconfigure them one them only has laser and Missile point's so it automatically half useless....

Fix the 4 man team, versus random player(s), problem.

Surprised this didn't make your list. It's like the elephant in the room in almost every thread, and yet almost no one addresses or even acknowledges it.

This is not a "give them ig voice chat" fixable problem, no matter how much you want to characterize it as such.

This is not a tutorial fixable problem.

This is a problem with the community exploiting mechanics the developer refuses to change, problem. Hard to even argue its an expoit when it is an in game feature.

Only real question is who to blame, the developer for making it possible, or the players who partake in the act, or both?

Maybe he plays in a preamde? Most of that awful kiddie part of the community would rather quit the game than losing their advantages ingame. Garbage people.

A lot of the mentioned are on the way or being changed.

Less frequency of hated maps? ... Everyone has a different map they hate, we would be left with the frequency as it is now.

one of my suggestion already help alleviate some of that problem.

well we know they need some form of product that will generate income, imo bobble heads not the way to go but thats another topic.

Good points.

However, right now there are basically two things this game needs the most:

1. Stability
2. Usability

A game that is not easy and comfortable to use is not fun. A game that crashes is not fun. These are the number one (and two) dealbreakers, the main sources of frustration and annoyance.

PGI, improve your interface. I know UI 2.0 or whatever it's called is coming. Hopefully it'll deliver. Currently, from a usability point of view, the client is bad. Really bad. Too much mouse movement, too many clicks, too little information and bad usage of space. You see, that's more than just a little bit of horrible.
It might look nice, but looks is far from being all that matters.

One might say "once you know how things work, it's all no problem". Well yes and no. Of course it's no problem once you know how something works. But that's not the definition of intuitive or easy to use. The questions "how do I do this?" or "I want to do that, where do I start?" should never arise. "Ah well, it's not broken and I can get used to it" is NOT sufficient.
In a best case scenario, even just interacting with the UI should be fun, a pleasant experience. Think about the Starcraft 1 interface. Some might understand what I mean.

Matchmaker: working on it/tweaking it still
Integrated Voip in the works
Information Warfare: in the works, expect it when CW goes live
ECM: reworked, will come out when CW goes live
DX11: no clue, I haven't personally seen a post

You do realize most of this has already been addressed. Most of it in Ask The Devs 34. Now, please bring something up that hasn't already been addressed.

On a technical point while we're discussing the client, can you please decrease the amount of gpu usage the client uses. Considering there is actually very little animation or GPU required action going on, why does it use average 35-50% gpu at client screen and then jump up to 95-99% while in game. This is like stress testing your video card the whole time you have MWO open and the GPU has no time to recover or lose a bit of heat in between matches.

Just for reference most 3D action titles hit around 50-55% GPU usage while playing at full settings, so I don't see why the client should be using a similar amount of resources.

Feel free to insert jokes along the lines of upgrading to double heat sinks.

this is something i have also experience. i find it very odd that the gpu is working hard during client/lobby. this is something that defiantly needs to be fixed for the average player to consider playing it a second time.
