More in detail:
- Planets that can be claimed by players: Controled status requires 51% to be under control of a certain group and Dominated requires a 90% or 100% control status.
- Planets are subdivided into regions, preferably 8 to 10 regions that use the various maps being released and randomly assigned on a planetary basis. (basically pre-set by PGI, but is consistant when the area is released).
- Possibly requires multiple matches to control an area based on the planet's primary climate (hectic, hot, cold, freezing, normal).
- This can be done in Assault, Caputre, or Death Match mode.
- Death Matches would be used to determine instant control over an area.
- A combination of Assault and Capture could be used to gain control of a region based on both areas claimed and amount of resources redirected from controlling party.
- When Clans are introduced NPC groups can appear to claim regions and must be driven out (for those of us who want to see some NPC interaction and can be used to possibly complete research to unlock or enhance technology to near clan levels).
- Back to Regions...
- Orbital: When space maps are introduced only Jump Jet enabled mechs will be able to partake in these matches, requires Zero-G navigation skills and a good sense of awareness.
- Regional: Regions are claimed when sectors are claimed to a satisfactory degree (such as a battle contract to determine that best 3/4 areas gains control of the region).
- Sections: The smallest categories, this is were all battles take place in the grid system.
Like I may or may not have said before, this is to pitch a fresh idea and promote players to communicate and coordinate with each other. Please keep in mind it's about 1 a.m. my time and I got home from internship very late. Other than that please leave feedback and possible content suggestions...
We also need to make the urbie the escape pod for the Atlas. So that way when someone takes down an Atlas an Urbie pops out and they can continue the fight!

(please note that I'm not an urbie fanatic, I just thought it was a humerous idea).
