I try to use them but find that jam rate make it worse than normal AC/5. How much jam rate now? 50%?

It can suck sometimes and I hope they address it (ideally not jam when holding fire button down, probability to jam if fire button pressed again for semi-auto action).

But there are still times where you can get off several shots in a row, and its glorious :)

Random jamming is quite stupid compared to jamming due to actual cause and effect.

I've been in a match where they jammed after a single light tap, then in one where i held down the button every time I saw an enemy and they didn't even stutter.

again try to fit 3x UAC/5, and got jammed all of them frequently at same shot. One shot and all go down.

If jam 25% for each, so for all must be 1.5% (like unreal). So something work wrong.

Better will be low chance to jam but with bigger time for unjam, mb like 30-40 sec.

Try chain firing occasionally, that can help. Only group fire when you need to take that chance and have a juicy target lined up.

If chain firing, UAC/5 same as AC/5. Than jam after 1 shot. As say above, it worse than AC/5.

I wouldn't ever rely completely on UAC5 for my damage source, as I don't leave everything up to chance. But on my CTF-4x, I have 2UAC5, 2AC5 and that thing wrecks.

When my UAC's are up, I am firing 6 shots per second with range of 540m, thats as much as two gauss rifles firing every second. I have had many times where they stay up for all 3 seconds and I kill a target with literally no help from teammates in that time frame. Of course, I have had just as many times where I jam on the first shot, and only get off 4 shots in the first second, and two more in the next two, which is still 30 damage, so I cannot complain.

So no, UACs are not weak at all, but if you rely on them and them alone for damage, then you will be sorry for it after you turn the corner to another mech and jam for 5 straight seconds.

Even if the UACs jams, if you use them the intelligent way, they are still better than AC/5. Only if you have issues with the quantity of ammo, the AC/5 is better.
