I'm thinking it has to do with fewer high-alpha snipers on the battlefield. I used to run my non-ECM Atlas and get ripped to shreds by PPC stalkers and the like. Now I feel like a true monster, wading my way through the carnage and destruction and barely surviving with my zombie medium lasers.
It has also proven to be a huge money maker. I earned 180k on a loss (without premium time). I've never pulled that in for a loss even before the cbill nerf.
Anyone else still use their founders mech?

With the changes to the LB-10, I went back to my founder's Hunchback. I downgraded to a standard 150 and stripped off the armor from my arms so I could fit two of them in my hunch with 90 rounds of ammunition.
The sad part is, it's actually a viable build.

I sure do but its the Jenner. However, I prefer Sara first!

On my Jenner I made its build similar to Sarah's but replaced the Streak SRMs and extra heat sinks for 2 SRM4s and jump jets. Runs a little hot but still a quick and deadly little ****** and pretty decent money. Have to thank Sarah for giving me a Jenner build I actually enjoy for once, was never able to get something I liked on it before. (Really? b-u-g-g-e-r is blocked?)
On my Catapult I've got LRM15s+Artemis+BAP and a quartet of medium pulse lasers. It's a hit or miss build... really depends on the team to do well for me to do well, but when it works it's beautiful.
The Atlas I've had quite a bit of fun on after upgrading the engine to a Standard 350, giving it a couple Large Lasers, two Medium Pulses, couple Streak SRMs, and an AC-10. I'm not a big fan of assault mechs due to their limited speed. The Victor was the first Assault I really enjoyed, though my Highlander isn't too bad either, but after upgrading the engine even that little bit I found I liked it quite a bit more just for being that slight bit more maneuverable.
The Hunchback's still the only medium (besides my Kintaro) I haven't gotten all the Basics on... I just can't find a build that is particularly fun for me. Currently running two Medium lasers, 1 Small, an AC-10, and a pair of Machine Guns. I've had a couple decent matches ripping peoples' armor open with the lasers and AC-10 then tearing up their innards with the machine guns. But at the same time I've had some pretty terrible matches, too. I might have to give the dual LB-10X build a shot just to try it out.

I felt the same way about the Atlas being too slow, especially after mastering Quickdraws. However, I jammed the largest engine possible (360 STD I believe) and I an go about 64 kph with the speed tweak offering incredible agility for an Atlas. I've been rocking 2 PPC, AC 20 and 2 ML giving me a 50 pt alpha, 40 of which is pinpoint. I probably won't win head to head against a D-DC armed to the teeth with UAC5's and SRM6's but I've been pretty successful:

I know that it was 12 on 11 but it was a pretty close match and I was at less than 30% health by the end.

First time hitting 1000 with this Atlas since the great LRMapocalypse patch which was quickly hotfixed (I think I hit 1300 in one of those games)

I don't have a Founders but I do have an Atlas-D

STD325
Endo
15 DHS
x1 AC10 (x3 tons of ammo)
x1 AC2 (x3 tons of ammo)
x4 medium lasers
x1 LRM15 (X3 tons of ammo)
x1 LRM5
Keep the AC2 and the 10 on the same fire group and unload on fools. Mostly use the ballistics and the Missiles, leave the lasers for Alpha, lights or when you'll do full damage as the Ac's and missiles will suck most of your heatsinks.
It's all bout the uptime rather than the alpha, it just sorta beats people into submission

My Founders Hunch;
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...9d897595084abb1
The PPC gives a ranged weapon and helps strip armour. If the mechs already damaged then the LBX and MGs wreak havoc.
Also good for persuading lights to go bother others.
