LOL! Okay, your statement makes more sense now.

Judging by the early results of these polls clearly people don't even utilize things like this to heighten situational awareness.
Which answers the question of why a lot of people wouldnt' like a 3rd person camera, they apparently wouldn't incorporate it into their playstyle.
Just lol.

No, we do not want it because it makes things like Free Look obsolete.

Huh, I'll check it out more - but I can't figure why I'd want my Atlas to aim just its arms at a target. A good portion of my weapons are in the torso as well on most configs, so the only time I'd actively want to use the arms and not even try to use the torso is... well, I can't think of an instance. If I turn and the torso alone doesn't twist far enough, then sure - the arms move on their own (and they are faster to get on-target as well, if I need to track a quick enemy)... but I would always prefer to try to bring all my weapons to bear.

Most of the time you won't use it, but there are times when it is handy. I've used it on an Awesome to protect my torso while pumping double PPC shots into the enemy on the run. Yes I have two PPCs in one arm. Solves that "convergence" issue nicely.

That's just being skeptical about the concept of innovation. I've seen a lot of things that didn't seem like a good idea at the start but guess what, smart people can make smart things happen.
If you're gonna take that to a level of "PGI, smart, lol" then it's the exact same point I'm at when I said "community doesn't even use freelook, no wonder they wouldn't like 3rd camera, lol"
At end of the day, implementation is key. Can have great idea and if it's not put in right then it will be a struggle to make it fit from a programmers standpoint and from a community taste standpoint. But if it boils down to the fact that most players are simply naive, that's not PGI's fault that they [comm] play upon their own desire to play ignorant [not utilizing functions].

My most common use for it is firing arm weapons at people while trying to hide a damaged torso section.
I kind of wish it made the radar go transparent when you looked low enough. Gets in the way big time on Alpine.

Forgot the checkbox for "use it to swing my arms around, wave, and dance without moving my torso"

Oh right. I forgot about dancing.
Correction: Hiding damaged torso sections is my second most used function of freelook.
