The problem here, is certainly not the mech, but the pilot.

4 LL near 90 kph good heat
4 med, 1 gauss 3 tons,streaks
4 med, 1 srm6, 1 lbx10 (use lbx and srm6 together as shotgun)
3 med, ac20

I say that as someone that plays the Flame as my main mech, by the way. It is very strong if used correctly.

FLAME is by far the best Dragon mech there is. While it's not a cheese mech that gives you easy wins, it certainly can hold its own. I have consistently topped the chart in my FLAME.

Put in an XL 350 Engine.
Put in 4 Medium Lasers
Put in a GAUSS rifle

Go 104 KPH in a heavy that puts a serious hurtin' on people.

Well, then, I really hate to say this (mostly because I don't use it), but L2P. The Flame is an excellent mech, and many players do very well in it. Hopefully, you didn't really think that buying a Hero mech was going to be an instant "I win" button for you. Now to get the most out of the Flame, you need to adjust it's loadout somewhat. Just search the forums, and try one that sounds appealing. BTW, my win ratio in the Flame is 1.20, and I kinda suck at this game...
