I always wanted to play this game with a joystick, and I even got my throttle set up so I can turn with one of the buttons, but having played so much with a mouse and keyboard I cant get used to using the joystick now. I understand why they did not get the joystick functionality up and running sooner, but it robbed me of the joy of playing with a joystick. Still, all in all I love the game and what PGI has done with the game. Just wish I hadnt spent so long playing with the mouse and keyboard. What do you guys think?

Same boat here. Bought a Logitech joystick, as that's what I used during MW days. When I tried it out, I discovered no analog x-axis, so I set it aside.

I haven't broken it back out yet, as I'd need to re-get-used the the controls again...

I dont feel a need to either, other than my desire to do so
having a joystick in hand with its multitude of buttons and simply the feel of the device in your hand gives more immersion than the mouse does...

Yeah, I've been hesitant to hook up my joystick because I don't want to screw over the teams I end up on as I try to relearn the controls. Does PGI have an official position on people having multiple accounts? If I started fresh with a lower ELO, my experience would probably balance things out a bit.

My mouse only has 2 buttons and a clickable wheel (which is kinda a 3rd, but not easy to use)

I have a merc keyboard, so I can actually fire weapon groups with my left hand. but it doesn't feel natural.

I haven't used my stick and throttle in so long, that it was 2 desks and 2 states ago. my current setup doesn't really have room for the stick and throttle to be out all the time... ha ha wow it has been a long time.

I hooked it up and used it this weekend. and it is good, except the throttle stopping when I type.
I had to unplug it to do some work from home on Monday and haven't gotten around to putting it back on.

It isn't quite better enough for the effort at the moment.

Thanks, I do actually keep forgetting that exists. Even so, it's not quite the same as real combat.
