Just got this in my email.. very slick.. nicely done PGI!

It's got a feature story "What is a BattleMech" which gives a nice overview to new players..The "looking ahead" news post is reprinted.. and a little trivia item..

Got excited when I saw a new email from MWO. Thought it was a beta invite against all odds. Got really, REALLY sad.

Still, cool newsletter though. -_-

I'm a bit surprised here. I'm pretty sure that I unchecked from all newsletters. The last time I looked if that is still the case, was when the beta profile came up (yes, I do that regulary).

Still today I recieved that mail. So I rechecked my profile and now it tells me that I want to recieve Newsletters. I unchecked it again. If it magically reactivates again, we get into seriuos trouble PGI. -_-

The fun part of it is

"Powering these giant behemoths are fusion engines – giant nuclear reactors (usually) in the torso of the ‘Mech. While this engine allows the use of an almost infinite number of weapons, it also creates incredible heat."

White fusion engines are nuclear reactors (well, thermonuclear will be more correct, for me), but they are not GIANT -_- They are actually pretty compact, comparing to industrial designs... Or well, we don't have a mech of industrial power plant scale :D

My heart stopped for a few seconds. Thought I got in the Beta... DAMN!

All I read on my gmail preview was: "Before you start playing; before you build a ‘Mech and load it out, we should probably talk about..."

Yep me too. I was like this is getting me ready to start playing the game. Then I realized it was a newsletter and my heart sank.
Still a nice newsletter and all but it just gave hope and then snatched it away. *Sigh* -_-

Just clicked on the "more" link in the "What is a BattleMech " article...It actually goes into a surprising amount of detail..down to describing the Different two legged forms.

I'm wondering if these were sent by forum settings or signing up on the Artemis page.

The most interesting thign for me was this piece of information:

Quote

The announcement of Operation Inception (and Operation Clarification) had players from all over the world clamouring for details, and those will be coming, we promise. Stay tuned!

Finally a sign that us Non-NA based players will receive some Information soon!

You guys knew that PGI said "No more Beta Invites until after E3" so what made you think it was an invite?

Was it hope? *Takes Hope out back and beats it with a bag of Valencia Oranges*
