Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxttrot, Golf, Hotel
But that way way back before ECM, when you could target mechs. Now I don't bother, it take stoo much time to type in a mech description and location in the chatbox

Honestly, I just say, "A1" (since EVERYONE running an A1 has 6 SRMs) or "K2" which assumes 2 AC/20s, or "3L"...
Most mech now a days are running the same configs. It's going to have Gauss, AC/20, SRM, PPC, or Large Lasers. Match the mech model number and you can pretty much guess what they are running.

Catapult with Dual Gauss = GaussCat
Catapult with conventional lrms = Stack Cat
Jagermech with 4ac2/ac5 = Jaeger
Jagermech with 2Ac20s = 20-Jaeger
Jagermech with 4UAC5s = Fail-Jaeger
Conventional Atlas = ddc, or d, or k

Define conventional...
I prefer just using Alpha, Beta, Charlie...
My group call zombie those with all limbs and side torsos gone. Like those pesky zombie cents, with only the CT and a couple lasers running around like headless chickens.
I don't say "splat", I say Splashcats are the main targets (I call mini-splash those with a little something other than SRM). As are DDCs. Or ravens (aka 3L). Or the Dual Gauss / AC20 (Cats or not). Missile Boats are any mech which main weapons are LRMs, be them a light or an assault.

For me, it goes like this:
Catapult with 6srm6 = Splat cat
Catapult with Ac20s = Boom Cat
Catapult with Dual Gauss = Snipe Cat
Catapult with conventional lrms = Missile boat
Jagermech with 4ac2/ac5 = Jaeger
Jagermech with 2Ac20s = Jaeger Bomb
Jagermech with 4UAC5s = Jaeger Nuclear f***over
Conventional Atlas = Fatlass
By military letter designation. I want them dead not admired.

DDC = DDC

Posted 28 March 2013 - 12:02 PM
Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Detla, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf, Hotel
And then after that once I see what is what, then it's Alpha is a Splatcat, Charlie is a PPC Stalker, Echo is a Raven, Golf is dual gauss / AC20. Bravo is LRM Boat., Delta is a DDC, Foxtrot is a zombie cent, Hotel is a poptart.
