Mechwarriors are either very proud and like to show their archievements in battle.
Or love money as a mercenary, but value life above death.

Answer: no. Being dangerous enough allready: Toilet bombing every day....side effects: gas attack.....

Who in their right mind would purposefully put a multi-million C-Bill piece of hardware on the chopping block like that? Purpose built to wreck itself...in these situations I can just imagine a Tech looking at the pilot wide-eyed, throwing his spanner wrench on the ground between him and the pilot, and storming off yelling things I can't post here.

If it WERE possible to do...

Then yes. I would do it.

Think about it: A huge explosion, the destruction of enemy, you cause a giant explosion, my team gains an advantage or even victory because of my sacrifice, and (did I mention?) you get to cause a massive explosion.

Furthermore, it's a game. It might set me back, but I can always rebuild over time and do it again.

P.S. Explosions are cool. :P
