Add A Steam-Coming-Out-Of-The-Mech Effect So We Can Tell When Coolant Has Been Used.

But can we get a little effect of, say, white-grey steam venting out of a mech when a coolant flush has been used. This would be helpful in gameplay to make judgements about what our opponents are doing, give players fair warning that a, previously, very hot mech is now very much a threat again, and give everyone better observation to the extent and frequency that coolant flush is being used.
It would also make the job of shoutcasting MW:O a little more interesting as we get those high intensity moments "There goes the coolant!" as a team prepares to charge.

This idea isn't being discussed by anyone AFAIK, and needs the public attention it will only receive in General Discussion before it makes the long lonely trek to the Suggestions forums.

'People' might not go there, but the devs have asked multiple times for feedback and suggestions to be placed in the correct forums. It doesn't need public attention. Game development is not a democracy.

Make them into Green/Yellow/orange/Red/Blue steam colour and sell those for 15MC, and make the C-Bill one boring old white/grey.

You can't tell what heat level a Mech is at now? You don't know if they are 25%, 50%, 75%, 95% ...
So why do you need to know they have less heat because they used a consumable? Doesn't make sense. Even if you saw steam coming out, you don't know squat. Where they are 75% and they are freeing up heat for a huge 50% alpha? Did they drop a 9? or a 12? or an 18?
Seriously ... unless you know either where they were at, or where they are going to be, it's useless information that just doesn't need to be there.

Same thing, so it should have a similar sound-effect

First - as a consumable item, players deserve to have some understanding to the degree and frequency they are being used.
Second - simply knowing that a mech was hot, and is now much less hot, is usually good enough. Especially in competitive and league play. Most of the guys with a few thousand plus games played in 8-mans can usually get a sense of when a mech is very hot or cool - even without thermal, and it should be a fair warning to people that a mech has rapidly gone from very hot back down to a much cooler temperature in a small window of time.
Third - again for casting competitive play. Knowing when the coolant goes off for players is a big deal - like using an item in Dota2 or LoL - it changes the nature of the situation. Having no idea if coolant has been used is detrimental to the casting of the game, and thus detrimental to the growth and success of competitive play.

I must admit, I did like the cash register idea.
