Using the Trial Mechs, I was getting about 300,000 to 400,000 CB per match. Now that I have a custom, owned mech, I'm only seeing about 100,000 CB per match. What gives?

Your given a "Cadet Bonus" for your first 8 million C-Bills or something, so you can get them faster, and get your own mech faster. After that, your C-Bills per match goes back down to normal.

What Eisenhome said.
When you start, you are getting a set ammount of Cadet bonus each match for 24 matches regardless of the outcome.

I thought it was 25 matches personally.
But yes, that combined with your normal winnings should buy and pretty much fully equip your first mech.

Wow does the cadet bonus stack with premium time and the hero mech bonus?

Generally expect 60k-120K per match if your doing well and near the top of the leader board at the end of the match ... without premium/hero bonuses of course.
YMMV.

I'm doing about 200K with premium on average, 100K or so for a loss.
