Pgi Wants Monthly Fees To Run A Merc Corp

"We really want people who participate in this to be as engaged as possible. And we'll probably require them to have a premium time account, as a kind of dedication level." That premium time account can be purchased in quantities ranging from daily to monthly to bi-annually, with the 30-day pack costing $10.

One time fee to start a merc corp? I expected and was entirely ready and willing to do that.
I don't know whether the underlined piece means the entire corp or the leader needs premium time, but I do not believe any game warrants subscription fees just to access the staple guild/clan/corp system.
We need to show PGI our opinions on this as soon as possible.

Before I made this thread I checked all the thread titles. Didn't realize there was a thread on this topic until you linked one with a completely irrelevant thread title.

I get his angle, though. The title of the other thread isn't exactly clear.

HUNDREDS of people would be one man merc corps just to take all the good names and tags. Any MMO where you can register a clan tag has dozens, if not hundreds of thousands of 1 man clans.

But blocking free players or anyone without premium from participating in a merc corp is insanity.

This thread will be closed, and we're being asked to bring the discussn to the other thread for now until the game staff creates an official Official Feedback Thread of some sort.
