Due to the fact that most of the threads at this forum are just full of whine and bad attitude towards this game, i wanne start a topic that says thanks, from the deepest bottom of my heart.

Most people nowadays seem to forget how gaming was only 10 years ago. U were waiting for ages for new games to be developed, then be announced, released and then be discovered to be just crap and completely buggy. Currently, we the gaming community, are able to participate as part of the developing process, making succestions to the developer and maybe be able to influence the game we like to play in the future into a certain direction. The open beta program is a gift for each of us. Each player is able to give his own statement towards the game, to search bugs, report them and eliminate them to make the game better. What would had happend if PGI developed this game behind a closed door, and just thrown it into the market without this interactive process of developing with open beta? Some ppl would have bought it, some not. but PGI and IGP would have had less stress by reading whine threads on their forum all day long.
All of u guys should be thankfull to be able to influence this game, and the direction the developement takes.

And to all those cry babies that announce to leave cause of some minor issues everyday. LEAVE! Get the hell out of the game i love, and stop messing around in my Forum! Or, if u dont like what u see: GO! Make a better game, earn more money, and be superior. Or just shut the **** up...

To PGI and IGP i have to say: Thanks for the possibility to play another mechwarrior game and revive this topic many of us have been missing on the pc for such a long time. Thank you for listening to us, your community, and ur abition to let this game become the best MechWarrior title ever.

If u find some spelling mistakes, sell em on ebay. If u feel like u have to flame me for this thread, go ahead.

PS: One last thing to those people which keep crying this is not a beta anymore: For sure it is a beta. And it will be a beta until PGI says it is not. The fact, that we are able to spend real money, does not let this game become released. We just have the possibility to be part of the develope process during the beta.

They don't read the forum because of all the negativity (I believe some PGI staff said that, dont quote me on that though). So your post goes to waste I'm afraid :).

Firstly its not a gift its a part of development, Hence why its not open vs closed.... think of it like a door... closed you cant go through the door, open you can ! Amazing.

Secondly, People HAVE given feed back, but very little of it seems to be listened to, either be it trollbait crying or sensible rational feed back.

Lastly, if they didnt go open beta... i'd say they would be almost broke, it wouldn't surprise me the least if this was the the reason for the founders sale and its extensions.

P.S... Reading that whole post made me want to throw up a little...

Matux, there was no real need to do this as a free to play title, or going into the founders program with closed beta and all that stuff.

I still believe this is a chance we should take, and that they just dont listen to the community is not true at all. But developement cant be done in 1 day at all. It is a preocess that takes quite some time..

4 people above me thought that this thread was garbage, being just as useful as negative comments.

Your statement that this is a gift is flawed by the fact that companies need to make money on their product, for them being in development might not be feasible for 3 years. For some reason you dont understand this. Money drives everything.

I find it hard to find useful posts and information on state of game I expect DEVS have the same problem.
But this is what you get for F2P games, most forums are the same. Where genuine players drowned out by mass posts.

All the negativity I am sure is damaging the game, but how much of that is PGI and IGP fault for releasing to early and giving priority to wrong parts of game I would not like to say.

Go to reddit for the real MWO forum.

And I'm right there with the OP.

I LOVE mechwarrior, I LOVE BT and I freaking LOVE this game.

It's only gotten better in the one short month I've played it and having played Mechwarrior since the first edition, this one is definitely an improvement on all of them.

I for the most part quit being negative about the game, and I have just chosen to be brutally honest about how I feel about the current state of the game and the direction it is taking.

Trueth is, the game is good, but it lacks depth.

Yes, hopefully they'll find a way to get on that.

It's basically a beta for it's own game play mechanics at this point (and those mechanics are freaking amazing, and the best I've enjoyed in a Mechwarrior game). Hopefully they have a meta-game ready to set on top of it. Whether exactly like, or resembling this community wars they've mentioned in the past.

ANY meta at this point would be nice.

But in the meantime there are enough mechs and the actual gameplay is fun enough that I will continue sticking with them.

They got the spirit of it, now all they need is more of my money ;]

Completely Free (MECHWARRIOR) Game of increasing quality to me.. sounds like a Gift.. you can double down on the gift and spend a little money for more.. but at its core, it's a gift..

Beats the alternative:

Hear about it being in development and drool.. wait 3-10 years for development to complete, buy for 60-80 bucks(or whatever games will cost by then.)

I'm with you OP, i have always loved the game since back in the table top days. I loved playing the 16 bit Mechwarrior, and loved the all of the 32 bit ones also. Im sure once this is a box title I will love it also. ( i hope that is where this is going. Not looking for a World of MechCraft where you cant actually craft a mech, and not looking for Mechs of Duty either. Lets be honest a 100 ton atlas shouldnt be able to run at 120 FPS. Nore should a PPC be instant fire.)
As for the negative comments on the forums. I do not understand peoples since of "entitlements".
It's a FREE play BETA game! If you feel the need to be the center of a universe and you feel this Universe is "The One." it's not.. Just because you Pilot an AWS-XX dosnt mean you are Awesome..

So to That company who will probably never see This post I say, Keep it up, its the best FREE game i've played off my phone in a long time. And Its pretty #^$%^ good from something i Didnt pay for. Make it really good, and i might pay for it. TOC do apply.

Aye. Thanks PGI for making a Mechwarrior game when the franchise was all but forgotten.
Despite all its flaws (I have some faith that the devs will solve most of them in due time), the game is basically good and fun, and I've played a lot of hours already.

I'm confused? So because Bryan finally decided to do his job (or IGP finally let him off the leash) for the first time in a month people are singing PGI's praises now?

The new "ask the devs" has literally zero new information in it. It's all the same **** they have been saying since day one of closed beta. Changing "sometime next year" to "sometime this year" doesn't really mean much. It's still as ambiguous as it was the first time they said and really doesn't mean anything. When will we actually start to get cold hard facts about upcoming features?

Thank you, PGI. While I do think you need to improve your communication, you have already created one of the funnest games I've ever played, and I don't see that going away anytime soon. Well done!
