Gosh this looks an awful lot like Alex's concept sketch for upcoming mechs. Mayhaps we will see the Whitworth soon.

Here are dragon concept art for reference.

Seems a tad squat for an assault, but other than that pretty cool :)

That's a whitworth silly man.

You can also tell by Rclicking the image and clicking save and you see that the name of the file is actually called whitworth.

More like a Dervish Whitworth than a Victor. Nice though.

But a 40 ton HBK that goes the same speed could have so many uses! Like... target practice for the other mechs.

Oh and those saying Whitworth I present, though upon deeper inspection it seems his concept is a hybrid look between the two. Head is all wrong for a whitworth and chest is to wide for it also making it have a silhouette of a victor. No as for a Victor it does have hands and I could not find a variant with a missing left hand. So all in all it could be either mech. But the newer designed Whitworths are super skinny.

it looks a lot like a whitworth imo. but i'm curious why (if they are) they would be using a relatively unpopular mech.

i would like to see the dervish before this :)

FD has made tons of mech art in his style, does't mean any of it is being made into a mech for MWO.

The Whitworth suffers from poor hardpoint variety (it's variants are basically all either the same or fewer hardpoints) and is easily displaced by Hunchback, Centurion, and Trebuchet variants.

It's definitely a Whitworth. Missile location is the same on the outer portion of the side torso, missile doors are the same, even opening to the side the same way. The head fits the Whitworth just fine, at least as fine as the other mech heads (Cent/Com are less similar). No Victor has a head mounted laser, which the concept art does have.

Also, all the other art with the exception of the 9k shows the Victor's protruding blocky shoulders, which is kind of a signature of the mech and is missing from the concept.
