Are we a part of the same community? If they played any kind of joke, no one would get it. Everyone would rage/cry and take it far too seriously. I would normally support a fool's joke, but with this community? No way in hell. We get enough QQ threads about everything imaginable already.

Mon. April 1st, 3050: Raving MechWarrior found in downtown Solaris VII hospital claims "Cloned space fascists" destroyed his lance, company. States they rode 'giant forest lupines' into combat.
timLet me translate: "Clanners attacked and piloted Timberwolves." Yep. That's the joke. Ha. Ha.

TO be honest, an AF-Joke on this community would have I`d wager a 97% chance of becoming yet another unwarranted, unresearched, not-though-about-for-more-than-half-a-second, PGI-Flaming Shitstorm.

IMO they would be unfathomably STUPID to even attempt one unless it`s the perfect joke. And even then yome **** witwill get his panties in a bunch and starte an uninformed Ragequit thread.

It`s Lose/Lose for them, and to boot it`s a holiday weekend, meaning everyone can flame uncontrollably and whine to all his alleged press buddies for days before anyone can come back to work to do any form of damage control. Half the people here don`t even read (or comprehend) the replies to threads they started, as evidenced by continued flaming of the devs days after clarifying posts are made and other information from other sources is presented.

When 90% of your forum members consistently assume that everything you do is with willful malicious intent, with a sole purpose of destroying the IP, months before they actually see it, I question why the forum populace should be informed as to developments at all.

"If they`re going to flame us to death 30x /day anyway regardless of what we do or say, maybe we should stop telling them what we`re doing and not say anything more altogether, and let them get their information the same way everybody else does."

Seriously, if all it could ever really end up as is a PR nightmare caused by rabid forum wolves dissecting every statement and looking for even the most ludicrous ways to imply P2W or similar injustices,why should they even consider it?

Any yet people still continuie to flame the devs for "being more and more secretive", wholly oblivious to the last year of forum flameage getting worse and worse exponentially being a very likely cause..... *facepalm*
