Hey guys, I've found that I kinda enjoy the fire-support role, and was wondering which mechs you consider best for that.
Also, any loadouts you'd be willing to share would be greatly appreciated.

Cataphract, because it can take the punishment thrown at it.
Jagermech, because it can mount MORE DAKKA
K2 catapult, because its very hard to hit from the front

Define fire support. It seems to mean different things to different people.

To me, it means something other than brawling or sniping/LRMing, which is a pretty broad category for mech roles.

Cataphracts and Jagers come to mind as semi mobile turrets. Dragons and Centurions come to mind as fast strikers. Hunchbacks, Trebuchets, and Awesomes can fill many of these roles as well. There is a lot of overlap here.

It really just comes down to your preferred play style.

K2 is nice. Gives you a lot of options for your chosen fire support style. ER Lg lasers are a nice hard hitting weapon and have a range that far exceeds their stated max. You can also load a gauss rifle (2 makes you vulnerable) or go with AC of your choice. PPCs are more viable now as well. K2 benefits from good twist radius, high arms and harder to hit sides. Speed can be tweaked as well. A 300XL+ engine gives you nice speed to engage or change positions to support other mechs.
