So that is my question.......where i can download mechwarrior 4 ?
i few time ago,i heard this game was release free,but i can find it......who tell me where i cand download or buy the game ?


**:other question is:i have mechwarrior 3,but i can run it in win 7 64 bit,the game start good but to the 10-15 minutes of play,the game close automatically..........any idea to play the game in this windows ??

To the best of my knowledge the free mechwarrior 4 ship has sailed. The game was supported by the modding group known as MekTek up until a few months ago. MekTek is trying to rebrand themselves as an independent game developer and does not seem to have carried mw4 support over in the transition.
Unless anyone else on here has any ideas, you might want to check Amazon or ebay for box copies.

As far as your mechwarrior 3 copy crashing. Have you tried running the application in compatibility mode on a Windows XP setting?

Actually I happen to be testing an early alpha version of MW 5. Not sure where MW4 disappeared to, but what I see so far of MW 5 (even if still somewhat rough) looks really good. They definitely made some good choices. Oh, and did I mention that they actually got the rights for the unseen ones ?

Just had a match where my trusty Warhammer tore a whole through a Phönix Hawk (I still lost at the end, because I got stuck in bugged terrain while pushing through a little forest... the destructable terrain still gets you stuck at times).

Yeah they moved on to Heavy Gear Assault.....which looks like Unreal Tournament with mechs rather then the mechwarrior simi-clone that Activision put out.

now i see,thanks for the info,a long time ago i play mech 3 and now after play mech online,i wanted to play mech 4.......
with the 3 i try that of xp compatibility and doesn t work ..........
