From this carry I just pulled off

Posted Image

My horn, it toots. The end was a real challenge, ended up being 5v2 (Jenner, Hunch 4SP, Stalker, K-2 gaussapult, and a Pretty Baby against me and another stalker) by the time my teammate died, it was 3v1. I finished it.

My 4SP build was 3 Large Lasers, 2 SSRM's, 245 XL engine, endo steel, DHS, and TAG in the head.

Modules: Advanced Sensors, Advanced Target Decay, Cool shot 9x9 (which I actually had to use toward the end, I would have died without it).

That is amazing. A clear proof that Medium mechs are far from obsolete.

My Thumb hurts from all the up it is giving to your success.
Perhaps you could teach your former teammates how to be as devilish as you in battle.

I so wish I was fraps'ing it. I only quickly alt-tabbed to start fraps to at least grab a screenshot in time.

I'll try to fraps a match or two.

this is why MWO needs a better training area with "live fire" AI, even if it's simple.

maybe some single player "mini missions" that range from 5 to 10 minutes that go over the basics and some advance maneuvering

Really surprised more people aren't flaming you for daring to be happy and proud of a genuine accomplishment...

Well done, OP! Savor the feeling, and let it warm your soul the next time you tank the enemy team only to die and watch your team fall apart in a panic....

I congratulate you for lasting that long with an XL engine at only around 87kph, you must be very good at torso twisting.

Never underestimate someone full of lasers who can aim. (In this case it was you)

My jaw is on the floor. I don't think I've ever seen a Hunchie with nearly 1000 points of damage, let alone a 4SP as opposed to a Swayback or exploiting the broken LRMs that have come around a couple of times in the past.

I think my max was 880 with the HBK-4G but I tend to spread the damage around.

What DID the rest of the team do? Playing tic-tac-toe with their small lasers in the sand?

Not bad... For a Steiner ;) but in all seriousness awesome job on that. I love to see people QQing about how mediums are so bad. With the right pilot they're just as good as any. Enjoy the positive comments while they last because the trolls are gonna pop out from under their bridges in a few hours.

hard to beat 8-0, though i can't help but wonder if trimming half a ton of armor wouldn't be worth changing a 1.4sink to a 2.0sink and a bit more speed/turning/torsotwist/acceleration

i get the feeling that the op was just killstealing like a boss... but i've had to do odd amounts of carrying in my stalker so...

I don't think it's possible for anyone else on that team to have stripped enough armor away for him to steal anything.

I mean... good god... the founder did 74 damage with 7 assists. What did he do, **** on everbody once with a round of small lasers?

In all fairness OP, you should probably thank the other team as well, for not being able to focus fire or cooperate at all.

Either way, good job! I'm still looking for that 8-kill match myself, so colour me duly impressed.

To be fair, he was in a Spider 5V. You know, the one with 2 energy hardpoints and 12 jump jets.

I'm truly impress by the fact that some player are bad enough to loose a 3v1 against a XL hunch.

I salute you borisof007
That had to be a nervous ride close to end. Well done...
My closest was at 7 and I was in Awesome in CB... Still remember the chills and sweat when I was fighting with last one.
And I was in an assault, I would never thought pulling that off in a hunchy

Respect Sir
