So when do we get new modules that work without only having the purposes to make consumables better?

I'm not complaining about consumables... I have already excepted consumables are here to stay. But I hope from this point on that not all new modules are going to just be ways to upgrade consumables.

Once they start phasing in Community Warfare I expect to see modules for things like Multi-Targeting (maintain up to X targets at the same time), Enhanced Vision (either better Night/Thermo vision, or add something like MagScan), and other Role Warfare type modules.

I also suspect that they'll slowly roll out new modules now that the big three consumables are finished. Flight Stabilization, maybe (+X% JJ fuel, maybe, or a better jump trajectory, or something).

They're also likely to start splitting things off into modules, like info sharing (so there will be much shorter base range on sharing target info, and a module would expand that, similar to the sensor range module we have now).

Well, we know that there are at least a couple dozen modules planned since months ago *cough*lurked around the files*cough*, and I can say that many don't seem to have "update consumables" in mind. Now, when? Possibly in the incoming patches? Who knows!

Probably never.
The only vision mod is the useless zoom, and it's been a SOON ™ item for about 8 months.

This will be it exactly. Require thousands of GXP to unlock (even better with multiple levels), and millions of c-bills to purchase. This will promote spending MC on Premium time for the c-bills and on converting XP to GXP, while allowing those who don't want to do either still to get the modules, just at a much slower pace than otherwise (so pay for convenience, which is one of the two primary income strategies for a true Free to Play game).
