This is a quick build, seems decent after a few games. The music is a nice touch, kinda quiet though to me. Can't hear it over weapons fire really.
I noticed that my music volume in options was set med-low. Maybe that is the problem...

Thank you for the video. Heavy Metal looks neat and I want one but I am not sure if I want to spend money on a beta game at this point.
Why the AC10?
If your going to run an XL engine How about a build like this one with 325XL, 4 jump jets Gaus, 2 Streak 2, 2 ER PPC?

It does lose 2 heat sinks but fits in the Gaus instead of the AC 10 and goes slightly faster.
The big issue I see with the Heavy Metal is if your left torso gets shot out you lose most of your weapons. I am used to a symetrical Stalker build so if I lose a torso you still have a decent amount of weapons. If your going to lose most of your effectiveness anyway losing your left torso might as well run an XL engine.

It's definately an XL mech. I actually tweaked mine a bit http://mwo.smurfy-ne...96bd10f20d9fa4d
I didn't really like it with a Gauss for some reason.

3xLPLas, AC10, SRM6, and an SRM4. Not sure how poorly it can jump with three jets, as four was uncomfortable enough I sacrificed a little for a fifth, but on paper it looks like it should hit like a brick shot out of a cannon.

Smart move making every weapon go off the arms movement, gives solid range capability without sacrificing the ability to go CQC.
This is the build feels excellent. Definitely a solid thumbs up, I recommend everyone with a heavy metal try this build.

Some have said that turning "Music" volume up will make the mech's music louder. Since in the past it was too quiet for me to hear, I did it and was able to notice when other people got kills with the heavy metal. Maybe give that a try?

The Music that plays is supposed to be Elvis since Ronda Snord would play Elvis’s music over the speakers on the battlefield. Unfortunately I bet PGI couldn’t afford to pay for the royalty rights to play the same music so they used something that sounds similar. As for the actual heavy metal that plays that I bet is for the mech’s name.

While Rhonda does like Elvis, if you look at page 79 of 'Call of Duty' (paperback) one could also argue we should be hearing BTO. I'd like to see the Buffalo Head Nickle that every one of Snord's Irregulars wears on their mech.
