Cryengine Fread Error

Can't seem to play a game now without the CryEngine Fread error again. Any posts I can find on this date back to October of 2012. Anyone know how to fix this?

You need to check your .pak files for corruptions. The hedge hammer (sledge hammer, even) to fix this problem is to uninstall and re-install which will give you fresh .pak files. It might be quicker to install 7Zip and test each .pak file and replace only the corrupt ones. This thread explains how:

I had to reinstall the game.Seems to work now.

Also switched from AMD Catalyst 13.1 to 13.3.
