To me if feels as if the ER PPCS do less damage at all ranges. I would rather those that use the ER PPC provide their input.

I think you'd notice if he was doing that to you.

The ER PPCs (As well as PPCs) have been doing some funny things for a long time. I use them exclusively on one of my Mechs, and haven't noticed an extreme change since the patch. I do know, however, that I've had some absolutely dead-on-target shots that did 0 damage within optimal range (Even point blank.). This isn't new, though. I have noticed some other issue with the new patch which won't be mentioned here, since this is about ER PPCs.

Edit: Also, the lack of a Ballistic-style rewind check on hit boxes causes the PPCs to miss a lot at range when hitting things at speed. Or hit them when they actually look like they miss.

I have an erppc on my 4X, but have not used it post patch as I was using my 3L all day today.

I know, I know.. running a 3L automatically make me less of a player, but I was running ECM cover for some friends of mine.

I am going to log in right now to play a few games...

Thank you for revising your question to be more productive.

I have not noticed a particular difference between regular and ER PPCs (when in effective range) since the patch, but I frequently see shots that do not appear to inflict full damage, and sometimes zero damage. It's frustrating as hell, but the devs are already working on a solution. State Rewind for non-laser weapons is due in about a month, I think. Since the laser State Rewind seems to have made a huge improvement, I expect the same for everything else.

Thanks for your posts. It appears that I may be having an off night with my ER PPC or some latency issues.

I've noticed that my ERPPC seems to occasionally have a slight delay when I try to fire it post patch. Of course, I am also using a light mech for the first time and I keep having stupid latency issues even with relatively decent ping(60s-70s on average).

I don't know if it's a latency issue that's making the delay when I try to fire it but I'm willing to believe that it is. Hugely annoying.

I will say I never had any issues with it on my Cicada but I haven't tried that tonight. I'll give it a go tomorrow.

FYI to everyone reading who hasn't played the game post patch, ER PPCs seem to "miss" half the time now due to a massive hit registration bug, especially while jump jetting. Makes my ER PPC Spider even more useless.

Anyone else notice any differences?

Haven't noticed a thing, really still the same, jsut matter of how well you follow up on fast mechs at long range.

There's another thread about increased latency issues today (patch day, everyone is online), so that makes sense. Wait a day or two and see if it gets better.
