Didn't notice any of that. still running at 70fps solid.

Nice. =)

I myself went from 20-30 to 11-18 FPS. Another friend dropped from 50s to 20s. Several other people also reported significant FPS drop... no idea why it's so for some and not for others.

Same here, no crashes since patch release, no fps drops, no major changes besides what they did to the maps and draw distances.

Good. They need to learn this.

"Beta" vs "Release" here again, although they are certainly stretching the term ... if you combine an expensive new content patch with other modifications that have the potential to **** up the game servers, crash peoples' client, etc. then it is probably not easy to revert.

Since you already took peoples' money for that content, a decision to roll back the patch would cause a huge outcry, even if everything was fixed in a day or two. The PR could be really bad. Might as well change the default typeface on the forums to 48 points because every post will be in that size, QQing about their temporarily-unusable HGH-HM.

This is a lesson they need to learn. Rather them learn it while they are still calling it a "beta" than after "release."

FPS in the mech lab screen doesn't count. You have to actually launch a match.

Welp, since I tried to be nice first.

Half your problems are preference problems, and the rest would be better discussed in the patch feedback forum rather than QQing about it in GD.

Well you did try to be nice. Instead you should try to be accurate.
Half my problems are preference ?
Night Vision I will give you even though I think it wouyld be hard to find people who do like it.
Heat Vision. I mentioned that in that mode Snow and Mechs seem to be the same temperature.
That is wrong. Not preference. Period.
Bugs? Are you saying that playing without bugs is just a preference or is there something really wrong with your math?

Game was buggy before and it still is. HUD issues with radar random crashes ect. Its beta and I'll deal with it. No game I've played gets as as many updates and attention. So in spite of its flaws I still love it. Thanks devs keep it up. Im here for the ride!

I have a AMD card as well, and I'm getting NASTY artifacting combined with rubber banding like Ive never seen before.

Most of my merc corp logged for the night, not worth fighting this CF of a patch, just wait for the hotfix.

Oh night vision on river city thermal does work tho!

All is well all is forgiven

You mean that the game isn't just building mechs in mechlab?
There's MORE?
What's this launch button mean at the top?

Someone has their cranky pants on today.

I've crashed twice already in about 6 games, up until today, in all the beta, I had only crashed 3 times before this patch released... Something is definitely up.

Bro do you even beta?

Two things:

1) We're paying money now. As someone else put it earlier, this whole beta thing is so 2004.

2) When I was early beta testing StarCraft II, when they borked something (rare, since Blizzard betas are actually beta tests, as opposed to the new usage of beta) they rolled it back. That's the only beta I've been a part of (other than these shambling messes of open-beta-AKA-retail-release-with-bugs), and they were not shy about it. "Hrm. K that change sucked. We rolled it back." was on every other set of patch notes.

"Roll it back" is legitimate feedback to any patch in the beta phase.

Exact same here. Texture and modeling pop-in like its 1996, and insane rubber banding on my radeon card. Never had ANYTHING like it before the patch.

Look man, PGI can't call this a beta if there are no bugs in it. Gotta keep the game buggy til september ok.

What a royal F^CK up! This game has been slowly robbed of it's fun factor. Nerfing heat vision not just by view distance but how it visually works is almost one of the last straws. I honestly cannot believe how well this game started out in closed beta compared to what it is now. It's almost like they are just throwing idea's at it based completely on making money. I understand the ultimate goal is to make money, but I'm not here to make you money I'm here to have fun and ****!ng play with my clan. I've played mech since mechwarrior 2, when I was 7 years old and so far this rounds out as the worst mech to date. I've seen a steady decline in clan activity, going from 16+ active pilots out of a possible 30 man roster down to maybe 3+ active pilots on nightly. No body cares to play the game because it still feels the same. **** the new mechs, we haven't seen any new weapons (modules don't count), you have done nothing but **** with the current weapons breaking them all at least once (Multiple times if you count heat **** ups, lrm nerfs and buffs ect..) and still yapping about set dates of when content should be rolled out but we all know you can't keep to your word. I try to keep this stuff to myself but I needed to vent because this is complete hor5esh1T.

This patch has given me all manner of bugs.

First it was that I couldn't type in chat, and that it took about 5 minutes to load up the game, after which I would either crash or maybe get in for a match.

Then I clean reinstalled MWO, and now I can get into a game (again after waiting forever), and randomly get a freeze bug several minutes into the match.

Do not tell me about drivers, I'm using 314.22 WHQL nVidia drivers released 25 March 2013
