I'm here to remind us all about these 3 major issues.

It would help to know what the status is on all three.

How it stands:

ECM is still god in a box,

LRMS still fly way too slow (DMG is almost fine, just needs to be able to connect)

Knockdown needs to come back to promote skillful piloting and stop the hugging.

No

I'd rather they do decent damage without having to boat them

I agree totally

Yea I've been wondering where the missiles fix was in this patch. I was under the impression that this was supposed to fix the splash so damage could be upped from the ridiculous 0.7 it is now.

I mean as it stands, an LRM 10 is 7 damage for 2 slots, 5 tons vs 9 damage for 2 slots, 5 tons for a Large Laser. And the Large laser doesn't take 5 seconds to get to the target and usually doesn't spread its damage all over the mech.

Missiles were broken before this, but the pendulum swung way too far on the nerf there. I can empty 4 tons of LRM10 ammo and barely do 400 damage... And I'm using a tag and artemis... and LRM ammo now does more damage to me if it explodes than it does to my enemies if I land every missile. :)

I like that the only people who want it back are those who were taking advantage of a bug where a 60 tonner counted as a 100 tonner, and you could stunlock enemy mechs.

I might be okay with knockdown coming back if they do it right; getting my AWS-8Q tackled by Jenners got old really, really fast though. I'd also want the netcode to be in a state where just being within 50m of someone counted as a situation where you got knocked over.

Some one mentioned giving the Dragon a quirk that considers it 20 tons heavier in colisions, I'm all for that. 40 tons, yeah that is a little too much. But If Dragon moshing ever comes back, I will do it for hours on end :)

If knockdown came back, I might feel like less of a gimped light mech in my Fasturion.

Who uses lock on weapons anymore? PPCs and Ballistics are where its at. Rely on lock, get countered by ECM.

tag? Before the nerf I plowed through DDCs with ease. Just TAG and missile away. I had LL and SRM for light mechs with ECM. The only people that really had a hard time using LRMs against ECM are people that were boating only LRMs and doing nothing but blind fire...

It's like they can't strike a balance. Missiles were too strong, so everyone had a ton. Now missiles are poop so its Ballistics and lasers out the ***. I wish we could have all 3 weapon types coexisting.
