I don't know why, but I really like that set-up. I also like the larger size of the missile pods in 2 and the original. Basically, I think as long as it has the BT 'look' that 1 does, and takes some of the other features from the original and number 2, it'd be rad.

The issue is, I have no idea about how it may work in game. There are two HUGE misile ammo rack EVERYONE will shoot at. Then the ammo will explode, then the mech is useless.
May be a huge success if the mech is capable of killing anything that is standing in front of it, which means those missile bays will have serious fear factor (who would want to stand before this reaper), but still, those twins are just too big targets to ignore.

But no matter, which chassis is better, it would indeed be a good addition to MWO because it features quite some variants, one even with jumpjets. And now think about removing all the LRMs and replace them with SRMs. Quelle surprise.

I'm not a fan of David White's mech art, but his Longbow look really good and very similar to the orig. TRO concept.

After all, they advertise role warfare, where mechs of all sizes have a role on the battlefield, at least in urban environments.
Personally, I expect to see 20/25/30/25 % distribution, as in, skewed to heavy and assault, yet still.
If this is implemented, and available as a support platform, who would use the catapult?
Unless maps are excessively large so speed is a factor.
In which case, it's long range combat galore, and few scout mechs are needed...

I have a pewter Longbow 1 miniature bought before the ban hit home. You want the nice mech designs? Bug whoever owns the Battletech IP now to license the old designs from the Japanese companies, that'd make more than a few folk happy.
