From what I can tell, the priorities of this company seem all at sea...

*releasing game breaking patches that further randomize the statistics generated by a bolted on system

*charging $30+ for one mech

*having a Pay-to-Win system (consumables) in place before fixing the most basic of problems (ECM...)

*dangling the carrot of "community warfare" in front of us while there are still pretty massive hurdles to overcome with the actual game engine itself and having an extremely shallow matchmaking system in place.

I've seen very similar behavior before from a games company, S2 Games of Heroes of Newerth fame, a game which is the current butt of the jokes in the Moba scene and frankly, a horrible gaming experience.
Please PGI, get it together

They released the worst patch since closed beta, but they also sold more heromechs than before.

You guys really think, theyre going to fix anything?

This game has become a cash cow, thats it.

People are stupid.

We can't possibly know their priorities because they don't tell us.

They just release vague information via twitter/facebook/articles, and when we freak out asking for clarification on their poorly worded releases, they ignore us.

I'm sure PGI will greatly appreciate your unbiased view and analysis of their production.

I like the new night vision. Less glare and actually very usable, especially on river city night, and sometimes frozen city night, too.

I like the new thermal vision. Identifying targets on both of the forest colony maps at medium range (many players still have the stock olive drab paint and it actually works well on those maps, especially if they're in an ecm bubble), is much easier than with standard vision, and thermal vision is no longer the broken sniper weapon it used to be. I used to take ERPPC pot shots from the first 10 seconds of every match with the old thermal vision.

My only gripe is that my graphics are now a little buggy, specifically textures on frozen city night, but that's it.

$30 bucks for a 'mech? That's not bad! I dropped 60+ bucks on planetside 2 just to get a handful of weapons for my vehicles and some camo for my soldier. I've played world of tanks, too and people drop up to 50 dollars on tanks that aren't really that good. The new hero mech is a tough '***** that looks fun to use.

Why do so many players want the moon at someone elses expense?

Might want to apply that picture to your own terrible thread while you have the link copied.

S2 also made some pretty horrific decisions external to gameplay and had DotA 2 come along and perform the deathblow. If PGI/IGP refrains from making similarly moronic decisions, they should be ok.

Dude, seriously, stop being board police. Explain to this person why he is wrong (and he is), or **** off. In spite of what you claim in your thread, you don't seem like a nice guy at all. Use the report function and get over yourself.

Corvus Frozen CIty has had buggy graphics for a few Patches now(texture mostly). Not trying to cut you off, just saying it has been an issue before. Op ou did submit a Ticket for the issues you found right? I did.

that sarcasm is great and all but it doesnt stop me from being right now, does it?
fact is, theres a lot wrong when they start releasing patches that cause such a massive amount of crashes and problems.
fact is, when they start charging $30+ for 1 mech, thats when you should get worried. money is valuable and spending so much on game DLC and not thinking twice about it is a pretty dangerous mentality and indicative of a massively wasteful society.
fact is, all my hopes for this game are being ripped apart on a monthly basis

oh and as for the guy with the picture up there, well done on being extremely typical and low brow

Something productive. You remember the Nietzsche quote in front of Baldur's Gate? "He who fights monsters..."? That's you right now. You aren't helping.

I'll just quote Office Space and say that if I work my tail off, I won't see another time. So what motivation do I have?

On the other hand, I am passionate about Mechwarrior, and I hate to see Forum Bullies try to sway PGI because the game is different from what they want.

What game breaking has happened? I was playing just fine last night?

For probably the BILLIONTH time.

Artists are not programmers.
Riggers are not programmers.
Modelers are not programmers.
Map designers are not programmers.

Just because they are releasing new content and not bug fixes does not mean their priories are off it just means that the artists are done with their work and it is ready for release. Programming takes time and unless you can prove to me that you know how to 1) competently program anything and 2) and successfully explain finer points of game development then stop, just stop.

ugh, this is such a problem. you automatically assume the concerns i wrote is a form of "trolling". instead of being able to back your opinions up with any tangible evidence or facts, you label something as "trolling" and in your head, you think this gives you a right to rail against it and try and police it using low brow cliched techniques that lack any depth, substance or meaning.
do you think i dont want MWO to be good?
do you think i have something against PGI?
if you think patches that have massive graphic errors and cause frequent crashes are good, then yeah, you are entitled to your opinion but what gives an opinion form and substance is the weight behind it and in your case then, it would be that of a robins feather.

but w/e, you are "trolling the trolls" and you will have a ready made excuse in your head as to how i can't be right. denial and shallowness, the cornerstones of a gamers personality in 2013

First: This was a horrible patch for stability, no one is arguing with you here. I'm sure they will fix it as soon as they can get their heads around it. This is going to happen from time to time with any company. Some more than others. I have seen several game breaking patches with WoW and with other games that require frequent updates. Hell take a look at a "big" box company like EA and their current problems with SimCity which is a "live" game but far less playable than MWO, and EA is a huge company with money coming out of their...Well you know where that is going.

Second: Your more recent point about the cost of the hero-Mech more appropriately places the blame upon society and not the designers. If a product is placed on the market and people buy it in quantities that are sustainable then the price is unlikely to go down, if anything the price will increase if demand increases, welcome to a market economy.

well i was playing fine before the patch too. then they patched the game, now 2 out of 3 games either crashes or i get massive graphical errors in game that make it unplayable. and ill tell you what, when developing a game i would know not to release a patch which would cause such massive issues to the public. i dont have to be a programmer to know that, its just common sense. if you cant see that then "stop, just stop"
