I have never purchased in cockpit items, they are tacky and ridiculous not to mention they give no tactical advantage or add to the atmosphere. Surely instead better cockpit items would be something useful or relevant, I’m not saying anything over powered or pay to win but something that gives you a slight advantage and a real incentive or increases the “reaslism” of the battlemech.

I have divided the items into 2 groups, those that server a practical purpose to the player and those that add to the atmosphere and make the mech seem more lived in.

Useful:

Small rear facing monitor, low resolution monitor showing what is directly behind you, helps slightly when you are flanked but is not a game changer.

Small front facing IR monitor, gives a mini version of the view ahead, ideal on darker maps and not a game changer either.

Monitor showing ammo amount on a graph or as a percentage, good for a quickly glancing at.

Monitor to show tonnes of armour left/stripped away

Monitor showing shots on target, shots fired, critical hits etc.

Aesthetic:

A fan, a grungy spinning desk fan, mechs get hot, this seems like a no brainer.

A display showing Reactor temperature in Kelvin and other basic engine info that has no effect on gameplay

Various assorted cockpit items piles high such as checklists, drinks containers, charts/maps etc, any other private pilot will back me up on this one!

A pilots heart monitor that spikes when the mech gets hot or gets hit.

Medical and first aid packs.

Junk, lots of junk, food and drinks containers

Anyone else have any thoughts on this or feel like adding to either list?
