Nice find!

Just the important parts:

Quote

"As a result of this change, we've had layoffs across the organisation. We are incredibly appreciative and proud of the talented teams who have been developing our new titles."

The announcement of the closure of LucasArts, with the loss of around 150 jobs, is likely to further anger fans of the movie series, after Disney decided to cancel the hit cartoon show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars last month.

NO! not a nice find! Disney is truly becoming one with the darkside :D To me this means gone are the days of the gritty sw titles, next disney interactive will be spewing out kingdom hearts wars ect

But to show some love for both a company (Lucasarts) and a project (mwo) i admire, thought i'd make this to try to create a win win for both.

No i mean before their last effort that was a little lackluster and the stuff the didn't license out. Spent most of my youth playing though x-wing/tie fighter/the dark forces franchise and force unleashed. Now THAT was gaming, even if it was solo.

Another good game developer bites the dust. They have gone the ways of Sierra, Westwood, and Origin Systems now.

Yes, but those are things of the past, their recent games were mediocre or flat out failed.

No there's some old favs, C&C just isn't the same without westwood. What was that mech shooter Sierra came out with again? had a brainfade and it's not included on the wiki page.

EDIT: Earthsieges, classics for their time and a nice fill in leading upto mw2....
