Two threads have been locked regarding this, there has been little to no communication regarding the information in the Polygon interview. Personally I feel like this is being swept under the rug so people will forget about it even happening. I want to support PGI, I think it is a great group of people who are passionate about what they do. That is one of the reasons this kind of stuff makes me personally so angry. Please stop treating your supporters/customers/investors like idiots.

When this dropped first we were told on twitter to expect a response later this week, now I just saw on Bryan Ekman's twitter feed that there will be a response "over the coming weeks and months." I think the community and the people who have supported this game and bought into the idea that was sold need a better answer and something more straightforward and official then just a twitter post.

I am trying my best to be reasonable and I do not want this just to be tossed aside and dismissed as one more disgruntled gamer who did not get their way.

See this kind of thing has happened several times before. They release some controversial information in an interview, the community rages and they go back to the drawing board and re-design it. Just look at the consumables, they did the same thing.

Give it a few days and we will get the full story and I bet you there will be some changes to what we heard in that interview.

What gets me isn't the business model itself. It's that they've been totally hush-hush about it and never mentioned such a subscription model until this very second. Seems extremely underhanded to me...between this and all the bugs in the most recent patch I am not a happy camper with PGI right now.

Kids always want to open the presents under the tree before Christmas. The older you get, the more you realize the anticipation of something is often more enjoyable then the actual thing you are anticipating. If it were me, I'd be doing more viral things and make the fan-base clawing at the walls for it even MORE.

All they said was they were considering requiring premium to get MC rewards IF THEY GIVE MC REWARDS. Note that the MC can be used to pay for more premium...

I'm sure they'll announce things soon...clearly they know that for a ton of people, paying for premium is off limits unless it's for convenience. If they decide to require premium for the MC/Merc rewards, they'll adjust so it's not "pay2play". Maybe they'll scrap the MC rewards altogether.

I'd be surprised if we something this week, or even in the next two weeks.

Look how long that ECM thing was up before they answered it. I totally forgot it existed until all that happened yesterday.

Having said that, it is a huge issue to me as it's going to determine if I stay with the game. I'm not purchasing anymore MC until I see what their vision of CW is.

That's what you get for relying on second hand information. I'm not here to straight up defend everything they do, but forum goers are so starved for information that they will latch on to anything they see and it becomes gospel enough to rage endlessly about it.
