Taken from multiple scenarios in the fluff, this game type I think would be pretty neat going into CW:

Team A and team B start at reverse ends of the map, an equal distance from the center objective.

The center objective, the Orbital Control, is a large sprawling structure that can be captured much like a base is now, once you control the surrounding area. It has several smaller Satellites that each act as nearby sub-bases, becoming a sort of hyper-compressed Conquest game taking place in a single grid or just over it. Once enough sub-bases are owned, the main base can be attacked.

When the Orbital Control is owned long enough for it's control points to build up, it sends targeting information to a warship and the opposing side is las'ed from the map dramatically by orbital bombardment.

The idea is to create a high-intensity objective to fight over, with a satisfying payoff for the victorious team. This would offer a completely different style of play than what we've had previously, and depending on how these facilities are placed, could offer a slew of various approaches and strategies.

I think this would be a good type for the upcoming CW, or something similar to it, to encourage both objective play and forcing an intense firefight.
