"Those who break faith with the unity shall go down into darkness"
Wolf Spiders are a gaming community born from the competitive MechWarrior® scene, with a history stretching back some back some 12 years. Hailing from some of the most respected and competitively focused teams of their day, Clan Wolf UTS and 13th Wolf Guards of NetBattletech, Wolf Spiders was founded on the friendships and common passions which drove us to success in the past. Our goal is to be one of the top ranked groups within the MechWarrior® Online community.
Wolf Spiders provides a family like, yet highly competitive environment for members across North America and Europe. We have been an active unit in MechWarrior® Online since November 1st 2011. We have played through Closed Beta, been involved in the Run Hot or Die (RHOD) Podcasts, have produced our own MWO Podcast called Drop Command, and competed in the RHOD, Last Mech Standing (LMS) and also Inner Sphere Wars.
Wolf Spiders are looking for active players who are interested in competitive play in leagues such as RHOD, LMS, MRBC and Inner Sphere Wars. Eventually PGI’s Community Warfare will add structure to the game, but for now community run leagues provide the competition that we are looking for and it's a great scene to be part of.
We are interested in veteran players and also newer players, with potential, still learning the game. We will help you to improve your game and become a better player. In both cases you will have a competitive mindset and be interested in that level beyond PUG play and 4 man groups. This requires good individual skills, knowledge of the game, communication and a team first attitude. We practice on the 12 man queue, and play friendly scrims with other units, with the focus on being ready for the leagues that we enter. We never forget that the unit was created to firstmost to have fun and to be a part of a team that battles with the best of them in MW:O.
We play other games too, occasionally. We have Battlefield 4 players, the occasional jaunt into Baldurs Gate, and gathering interest in Star Citizen. Our TeamSpeak server has channels setup for these other activities. We also have a strong relationship with other units such as our great friends in Antares Scorpians and our friendly rivalry with Steel Jaguar Reborn. We often socialize with units like this, either grinding cbills, discussing builds and tactics or outside of MW:O altogether and just simply enjoying our love of computer games with like minded people. Mech Warrior online has alot to offer today, if your interested in The Wolf Spiders we would welcome you onto our Team Speak server to give us a trial and see what we're about.

Further Information
In our most recent competition we reached the finals of season 2 of LMS, going down 2:1 in a hard fought match against SJR. The match was shoutcasted by TheMagician and is an entertaining watch. You can watch the shoutcast on twitch.tv. It’s well worth a watch to see what Wolf Spiders are about.
Drop Command is a conversational podcast dedicated to Mechwarrior Online covering everything from tournament competition to the new player experience. It is produced by The Centurion, one of our NA pilots. You can find it on SoundCould and YouTube. The Centurion has since gone on to become a co-host on the NGNG podcasts.
