So you have all been in battletech for 12 years but your first mech post makes two errors.. One the Timberwolf isnt in-game and two thats a Madcat MK4 or whatever from the wizkids tabletop game. So can I join?

1) He states that you could be piloting one of those beastly machines... Well, you could. When it is introduced.

2) No, that isn't a Timberwolf, it's a Savage Wolf iirc - but that text is part of the original image file that Black used for the re-colour, I know because I have the same Photoshop file waiting for me to do some more elaborate image editing work.

Yes it's an error, but it's not Black's error, and many people have commented in the artwork forum about that caption being wrong on the re-colour template file, but I'm sure you already knew that.

Yes I was aware this is a mk4 when I did it as BigJim said it wasn't my template so I just rolled with it. We'll eventually get the timberwolf when clans are released which is what I was eluding to there. Frankly I just thought the mech art looked freaking awesome so I did the repaint ;-)

Oh cool I didnt know they Called it the Savage wolf, Did this come after the MW4 Madcat MK2? I have always been confused about the designs of Madcats, the Timberwolf has always been easy to understand but then they start with the Madcat III which is lighter? Then the OG? and then theres the MK2 at 90 and then this Savage wolf? Also 90 Tons? Anyway Great responses thanks.

Yep way after. The savage wolf was a dark age battlemech I believe. The mech looks damn cool but the dark age never sat well with most battletech fans unfortunately.
