Unplayable For Asian Players...

First off, the game will simply black screen 9 out of 10 times after loading the scenario. Doesn't get into the part where you wait in the cockpit at all. Simply black screens and I believe leaving the mech AFK on the field.
Secondly, even on that 1 time out of 10, the game will randomly black screen or CTD, causing the mech to once again AFK on the field.
Thirdly, even if there is no AFK, the FPS hit on the latest patch has also made the game nearly unplayable.
All in all, please fix my favorite online game.... (while I turn to my old time RPG classic, Planescape:Torment for some entertainment)

That said, I have determined that Technical Support people have had a good talking to by the Legal Department.
Admit nothing. Tell clients nothing. Keep asking questions until they go away.
No more heading to support for me.

i think team leader was joking.
op's post is worded weird. it would of been better to state a region eg. south east asia/ Oceania.
if you want some real racist stuff, here it is. this game not prayable because my eye too squinty.

HAHA. I suppose that is because OP didnt check the patch feedback page and see that everyone AROUND the world is having the same problem, not just AustraliAsia.
And the 200 ping is completely unrelated to any patch.

if i got a 200ms ping i would flip my lid in happiness, but i cant and i wont for quite some time.
I want to just play this game and enjoy myself without all the harassment i get from uninformed players.
In another thread someone mentioned intentional lagging in order to get some sort of invulnerability, that is not my case i just have the worlds crappiest highspeed internet.
I think the OP needs a reality check 200ms is decent ping and it is nearly imperceptible in the game.

that doesn't make any sense. i am in eastern U.S. and I run about 70 ping. they are based in vancouver which I assume is where their servers are which is closer to you. idk wtf is going on since the last patch but my ping spikes and i teleport everywhere.

It's Australasian... and the ping was a relation in that it determined the issue was with communication issues to the server over an individuals hardware or internet connection, because simultaneous people with higher ping's experienced the same issue of blackscreen loading. It was the fastest way I identified the issue via the patch feedback thread once I asked people to post their's.
And so once the server load from American's lightened up the issue was still there but abit more manageable and playable until the hotfix that has solved it, unless you get a production server yet to receive the goods (mate had it happen).

Haha thanks for the spelling fix, i was wondering how to spell it. N sorry predator, i just read the patch feedback forums and the devs think the black screen bug might be related to ping.

Please refer to this Command Chair post, good sir.
The blackscreening bug (the one that leaves the mech stuck in a permanently blackscreened game) is independent of region, though it's not exactly clear what it IS dependent on at the moment. But they do assure us it'll be fixed on Friday. Until then, we can wait offline and lurk the forums. I'm affected too as well, yes. The other one where we're rejected and thrown back into the Mechlab with our Mech still available (which leaves 7 players on the team we were on without a 'Disconnected' status) is the one that the devs haven't been able to nail down yet. But given how packet loss here is literally zero, and the connection speed is 50 Mbps, I doubt the cause is any of the issues they mentioned.
FPS isn't something mentioned though, unless it's a Nvidia Driver .311 issue. Try updating the drivers and see if it helps. I previously had stable 55-70 FPS, and now it's down to 8 to 70 FPS - the maximum is still the same, but it drops for some reason. The smoke coming out of mechs when they overheat seems to be the most likely trigger for me. Not sure if you have the same experience. FPS is also independent of ping, and has some things to do with the server and some things to do with your graphics card, from what I understand.
My ping is 284-294, very consistently, and is pretty much the theoretical minimum possible taking into account the distance between Asia-Pacific and North America.
Ping itself affects how likely you are to hit things (firing delay), and how likely others are to avoid your shots. Host-state rewind has reduced laser lag-compensation to about half a mech length now against light mechs at 150 KPH (enough to miss entirely if you aim exactly at them), 1/4 mech length against mechs at 80 KPH (enough to hit arms if you aim at CT - this is also the main reason why some 'zombie centurions' appear to be invulnerable since their CT is quite slim) and nearly imperceptible against mechs slower than 30 KPH, which was an improvement over the previous values of 4 mechlengths and 2 mechlengths respectively with my ping. Ballistics Host-State Rewind promises to do the same on 16 April 2013, so look forward to that.
Players with high ping are actually easier to hit by a player with low ping than another player with low ping, since the reaction time to take evasive measures is quite a bit shorter (difference of ping x2 shorter). As far as I know the 'intentional lagging for invulnerability' thing is a complete myth, there has been no player I can't hit, even the odd one with *900* ping. And the most zombieish of all zombie Centurions I've come across have consistent 2 digit ping.
In summary: 1, it's broken; 2, the devs are fixing it as we speak; 3, the fixes are incoming tomorrow and on 16 April.
