EDIT: please don't take this seriously.. it's all a gag

(I've had enough fun at PGI's expense.. I thought I'd give them something to laugh at for a change)

First: the Obvious
When you have pinpoint accuracy it takes less to drop a mech.

Someone who doesn't have as good of an aim usually chews a mech up before he/she gets a kill.

What does this mean? The pilot who doesn't have as good of an aim gets damage points thus a better score at the end of a game.

So many of you asked for it and PGI has done the impossible!!!

Skill has been nurfed!!!!

This public service announcement is brought to you by the Infamous Impaler and the Barely Adequate Gamers.

EDIT #2 (copies from my reply below)
for the joke part of it, so many people say "nerf this..nerf that" when what they really mean is "nerf skill so that I can win more". This doesn't apply to everyone who brings up issues because some things need to be addressed but being honest, we (the mwo community) have all seen this "nerf skillers" for ourselves.

I think we should call them waffles.

What ur saying is relavent for headshots though.

Since u do about 40 damage to head. And take out a member of the enemy team fast. ElimInating that mech from doing damage to ur team. But u are only rewarded for 40 damage even though you did more and prevented more damage to ur team

So does the person who works slowly at thr CT. But the target has a longer time to return fire and do damage to ur team. With headshot target is dead immediately so why should u bet rewarded less

Except for the people in mechs who can't pinpoint alpha 40+ damage due to hardpoints. But hey, keep thinking that its all "skillz".

I've covered this in my new book

45 things a 3 year old knows

You can pick it up now at your favorite bookstore, beatnik coffee house, or at amazon.com.

I would also like to point out that I made sure that the OP had at least 20 posts.

Which is worth more points on the board then damage. I can get 350-400 points of damage and still rank higher then some of the assaults I like to drop with because I'm scoring more kills.

Pretty much. Usually the guy with a ton of damage is also the guy with a bunch of assists and kills. Besides, it's all about the team win anyway. I'd be glad to take a guy who gets high damage scores and hits a lot of mans even if he doesn't have pinpoint aim because at least he knows how to be where he needs to be and do what he's supposed to do.

EDIT: please keep in mind this post is for fun.. it's all just a gag.. a joke.. have fun with it

I would say that focusing onc a CT to core it needs "some" skill. I'm talking about the people who think "oh.. enemy mech.. shoot in it's general direction" removing all armor first.. then taking out the arms.. both the RT and LT.. then FINALLY being able to get the kill. That takes a LOT of damage points when compared to being able to focus and taking out the CT.

for the joke part of it, so many people say "nerf this..nerf that" when what they really mean is "nerf skill so that I can win more". This doesn't apply to everyone who brings up issues because some things need to be addressed but being honest, we (the mwo community) have all seen this "nerf skillers" for ourselves.

Well, the nice thing about taking a mech apart piece by piece, is the fact that they are usually dodging more, and shooting less, or they flat out run away.
