Hello,

I am looking for or asking if anyone has a fairly decent founder atlas/AS7-D build they would not mind sharing. Currently I am running...

2-LPL
1-LL
1-AC10
I have max armor I cannot remember the engine size I have. I know its just a founder mech and not supposed to dominate but I would like a good competitive build.

why not just say as7-d if you want more people to respond? i don't have a founder atlas so i won't answer. i do have an as7-D though. guess i don't qualify.

I regularly rock my founder's atlas. Had a match last night with over 1000 damage, 5 kills, 3 assists.

Honestly, the RS or DDC is probably better though.

I know they are better, just grinding out Cbills to buy one of those two though.

3 x LL
1 x Gauss Rifle or AC/20
Lots of DHS
AMS with 1ton ammo

Substitute the Gauss and AC for LRMs if you prefer.

I used to rock 2 SRM-6, 4 ML's and 2 LB-10X (Yes that 'awful gun'). Used to do well, and I was also good at wiping out annoying lights between the dual LB's and 4 ML's.

Love my founders Atlas. good for sniping with enough up close punch to scare lights/mediums.
300 standard engine
1erppc (arm nearest ballistic side for less convergence issues)
1 guass w/ 3 tons ammo
2 srm 6 with artemis w/2 tons ammo
1 med pulse laser
1 ams w/ 1 ton ammo

I have gotten over 250 in a jenner D on a regular basis; playing well in any mech will make it much faster. Premium time helps too, obviously.

You seriously can't make a good Founder AS7-D?

I don't do this very often, take this build and crush faces with it. You're welcome.

I'm going to probably be criticized for this but I have been using 2xERPPC, TAG and 2xLRM20 with Artemis. I haven't used it much since the missile nerf. It is a great way to **** of D-DC's from a distance and the LRM20's with TAG and Artemis actually do a ton of damage since most missiles are hitting even in mid range fights (over 180M). The ERPPC's are good at any range.

The reason why I like this build is because it plays a lot different than my other Atlases. I run a pretty standard D-DC with 2xUAC5, 2xLL and 3xSRM6 and my RS currently has 5xLL and AC20 (though I was using 4xERPPC and Gauss up until recently).

I love my Atlas-D. Great at long range and works well in a brawl, too.

3x LL
1x Gauss w/ 3 tons of ammo
2x SRM 4 w/ 3 tons of ammo
STD 325
Endo
7 Extra Heatsinks

Here's the Smurfy link.

325 Standard Engine (57.9 KPH)
15 Double Heat Sinks (28.7% Efficiency)
522/614 Armor (Endo-Steel Internals)

2 ER PPCS
1 Gauss Rifle (3 tons of ammo)
2 Artemis IV SRM6 (2 Tons of ammo)

Standard Engine makes it harder to kill, still fast compared to slow 300 standards with a large long and short range armament with no real penalties (except, don't suck at shooting.)

I used to run a 4ML 2SRM-6 Gauss Founder's Atlas and it was my most comfortable build...until they ruined the Gauss Rifle.

This is my standard Brawler Founder. I ran this on the weekend we had 50% bonus instead of the 25%:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...14a2421c2810bff

That weekend gave me an appreciation for just how good the mech was - comparing it vs the DCC. It really does stand up well, the extra lasers can make a difference, the gauss gives it more reach and plays better with heat.

For reference, this is my DCC: (Though I think it's out of date, since I've stopped using ART on it, for more ammo and heat sinks)
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...1ca106d6e99567c

I also run this when I feel like LRM'ing:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...71ff4c2e5203710

It was ridiculous during the LRM Apocalypse. :D I actually stripped the AMS and put in 2 more tons of ammo.

left click erppc, right click erppc + gauss + ac/2. click both at same time for alpha strike duhh, click and hold left and right 2 seconds apart to get the most evenly distributed heavy sniper in this game with a little ac/2 to fill in the spaces. you guys do remember who abused streakcat first don't u? >:D

my usual AS7-D(F) layout:

2 Large Lasers
2 Med. pulse Lasers
an AC 20 w/ 4 tons of ammo
SRM 6 Artemis w/ 2 tons of ammo
stock engine
every DHS you can cram into the damn thing

I average 600+ with it on normal days. also the SRM 6 and AC20 share the same group for maximum effect.
