Isn't the time frame for the Clan Invasion known? The game is an MMO that occurs in real time parralell to earth's time (Jan 2012 == Jan 3049). Since we know this, and we know that the Clan Invasion commenced sometime in late 3049/early 3050 (sarna.net sites it at August 3049) we can deduce that the Clan Invasions should occur within the first year of MWO's launch, but not at launch.

Check out the 'ISN News Flash' forum posts, they are all dated to correspond to the earth date.

Also, I read Wikipedia (and thus it must be true), "MechWarrior Online is a real-time game where one day in the real world is equal to one day in the game. January 1, 2012 is equal to January 1, 3049.^[2]Players take the role of piloting BattleMechs, and can align themselves with one of the Great Houses, form their own Mercenary Corporation, or play as a lone wolf. Of note for this particular timeline in the MechWarrior universe is the impending arrival of the Clans upon the Inner Sphere Houses. It can be extrapolated that this may be the direction MechWarrior Online will head after launch of the basic game."

It's probably stated somewhere on the forums too, but I haven't looked.

No, there isn't. But it's not a problem. As long as you are in the potential bunch of the beta players to be chosen, everything then is completely random. And sicne you are a Founder, most probably the only other criteria is you being of age in your country. (And maybe having a PC that could run the game).

Thanks for the heads up, it's been a long time since I played tabletop BattleTech in 1987-88...and then Battletech - The Crescent Hawks Inception on PC followed by all the Mechwarrior incarnations that followed on the various platforms. I still have my original games but no alas no machine that can run them .

I along with a number of my favoured lance mates have waited a long time for this, we are champing at the bit.

Unless the new production hardware fares so good that it can take up all Founders there will be no more invites to Non-Founders. Sorry, dude. Thats what PGI stated.

I am on the verge of buying the pre-order. I usually wait until I can at least get into the BETA to make a purchase this early, but what can I say, I'm a mech addict.

coming from an active wot clan i can safely say i know at least 10+ people who are waiting on purchasing any founders packs due to the lack of beta invites and limited number gameplay videos. please at least let us see how the game is so we can give you money.

At the moment, only Founders get access to the Closed Beta. Sorry to say that. Have a look at the Videos that have been given out so far, read all the Dev Blogs and Q&As and then decide for yourself.
