So can somebody explain why in the world we are having this when a large amount of players are currently incapable of playing the game? This makes no sense...

Didn't know a hot-fix was announced, makes sense now.

Geez you people just attack everything, lighten up, I was only curious. What the hell happened to the nice people here who would helpfully explain what's happening?

Honestly I highly doubt they would cancel something they most likely had planned for a while unless the servers were about to frag themselves.

How do you know the number of players who can't play is large? My personal experience has been playable and no difficulty in finding matches.

I am one of those players who can't play this game with latest patch, out of the 4 games i tried since patch i could'nt even play 1 game. And its not my system thats letting me down ( 7.9 system in win 7 4gb gtx 680 ) , So am hanging to play a stable game and will look at bling later.

He actually kinda has a point here. There is a good number of players who are having issues. Rather them being game breaking or not.

I don't quite agree with the OP's general point (because hotfix) but flat out pretending that the issues don't exist isn't correct.

1) There are different people working with bugs and events like that.
2) If you haven't noticed, we have sale/event(sometimes both) every weekend.
3) Just cause .

Why? 'Cuz they're in need of hiring another 50 people to meet their deadline in "late Sept.... errr...Summer". For that they Need mo'a Money and so they chose to milk their customers, waaaaay easier than to try to get it from their publisher. That's why!

Since my experience has been pretty much fine since the 04/02 patch, I will assume that the silent majority of players have the same experience (just like you did, OP; nifty, aint it?). So that means that most of the players out there are perfectly fine and can benefit from the weekend event without difficulty.

I wouldn't say that it's easier, but the customers are only expecting a RoI with entertainment, not cashy money. And frequently, a customers money doesn't come with strings attached.

Fair enough. There are issues ranging from annoyance to game breaking, and I have to admit they exist even if I am not personally severly affected. And I suppose OP has a point in that if the game is broken for 90% of players there is no point in a sale and C-Bill boost weekend if no one can play. But if 90% of players are only affected by minor annoyances, then the 10% will QQ, but the sale can be a success for the rest. Point is OP doesn't know what portion of players is affected by what and, thus, has no basis to call the sale pointless. His/hers is broken so the rest of us shouldn't be able to avail ourselves of a weekend promotion? Thanks - No!

game is F2P? almost ever weekend there should be some sort of deal/random bonus going on to get ppl attention. they knocked off 30% off 30 days, still not as good as the 180 day deal. yes they need different amount of days... but it to get some sales in.
