I am ONLY spending money on the game because it's not P2W, same with several friends I brought in. As soon as P2W is established we're out.

I would have been inclined to buy MC regularly, and like it, if the consumable system had been worth money.

Seriously, flame me all you want. 6.95 a month is enough to keep someone who doesn't need premium or hero mechs supplied with consumables for a good while. It's also reasonable for a dinky game, particularly since it is totally transaction-based and not subscription based.

As it stands, the giant forum outpouring made the consumables worthless to where they're not even worth the CB costs or GXP upgrades. I'm swimming in both currencies, and they're not worth it.

I can only hope there is MC ammo or some kind of CW option that encourages me to buy things, because vanity won't do it and I probably don't want premium hard enough to buy THAT in any bulk anymore. Short of big drop of new mechs (that I care about) at one time, or a buy-in for Clans, or a buy in for CW, or SOME gimmick I won't spend more money. I suspect a lot of people are like me. PGI NEEDS a constant revenue stream, and they failed to tempt me into one. Not sure where they go from here since they already caved to the community once on "pay 2 win."

A matchmaker that works and no pay-to-win will get me to spend again in the form of a premium sub.

I see no reason at this time to run a premium sub when matches in small group/solo are often decided by which team has more firepower or more lights.

People are more likly to do what you want them to do if they do not feel forced to do so.

I have came to the realization that I have spent more money on this game then on almost any other. Also, this has only been since when I started in December. The only other game I have spent more on was the subscription fee for World of Warcraft for about two years or so.

I don't realy have a lot of free time. So, I pay to reduce the grind.

I didn't really find a lot of grind, and the Elite Founder package really made financial sense. I haven't seen a benefit in spending more than that. A lot of you either missed the Founder program or chose not to participate on principles. Those of you who missed have my genuine sympathy, it was the only 'valuable' way to buy into MWO imo. Those of you who stood on principles do NOT have my sympathy, because the game has not yet imploded or stole our money. I've gotten 60 dollars worth of entertainment value out of a demo. Long running multiplayer/completed game be darned. I haven't even finished BETTER games that I've bought, and a lot of them didn't even make me feel valid in the purchase fee.

No, it makes you good at life. What makes you a "good gamer" is demanding things without basis, complaining about everything you don't like, and constantly referring to games from completely different genres as unquestionable evidence that a company is doing it all wrong.

I spend on a game based on how much TIME i spend on it, as time = money in all 1st world nations.

So considering Ive played this game for hundreds of hours, I dont mind the fact that ive spent around ~$100

Any game that "costs" 60 dollars should provide hundreds of hours of entertainment. That does not make it worth a hundred or more. Since 60 dollars is the industry-standard these days, I generally hold all games to that rule - "it had better be WORTH sixty dollars." I'm not paying more than that for a game. I bought the Warcraft 3 Collector's Edition, and that was the LAST collector's edition I bought. Was it cool? Hell Yes. Did I USE any of it? No, AND I later needed an expansion pack which largely invalidated the basic version both online and with my friends.

Was the collector stuff in SC2 cool? HELL YES. No game is worth 100 dollars anymore, in my opinion.
