What could possibly explain such a large gain? What part of the UI is that much of a resource hog?
Why is the unbugged UI inefficient enough to cost at least 20% of FPS? Flash and all that sure, but 20%!
EDIT: Why are the devs doing fairly severe LOD tweaks to free up resources when the problems are obviously elsewhere, at least on my system?
