Anyone feel that premium time isn't currently that great? The rewards are obvious but show diminishing returns to higher level players. Now, they are planning on making being in a merc corp require premium time, so extra C-bills and XP, essentially useless commodities with premium time, just wont cut it for that.
Maybe an MC stipend with them or something like that or trial hero mechs for premium time?
The second point:
Adding a monthly subscription option to the game for those that wanted it. It would come with something like mech bays and, possibly, hero mechs montly or at a greatly reduced cost. It would also save people the trouble of having to repurchase premium time every month. It is against the F2P model, but PGi is heading in that direction if they require premium time for merc corps anyway and they could still advertise as F2P since it still would be but would allow people additional revenue. It could also allow something like premium forums and dedicated tech support or something akin to those. Premium players could also opt in to beta testing new patches before they are released,

I think if you have Premium TIme, you should be allowed to "trial" any stock mech. I also think newbies should be able to do this for some period of time, say, a month. This way you can try out many different mechs without spending CB on them.
Hero mechs perhaps should not be included in this.

They have stated that premium time will possibly be required to get MC rewards. They clarified that you will not need premium time to be in a Merc Corp.

You would think they would do an official post about it, but I guess they are to busy or are forum trolls that live off the tears of NERD RAGE.

Premium time is only useful when:
You are new.
You are grinding mechs.
You decide to 'double down' on team play with a group that works well together to maximize gains.
Premium time is not useful if you are already 'done' with the mechs you intend to buy, and have both extra CB and XP. Premium time does not need a buff, they need to find some way to make the game worth paying for regardless of whether you are in premium time or not. Right now, past premium time when you are new, there is almost no reason to buy this game every month. Other than charity toward PGI.

I think my "trial any stock mech" idea achieves that by making Premium Time attractive for something other than grinding CB/XP.
Like you said, if you do not need CB/XP, why would you purchase Premium Time? If it allows you to use any stock mech without having to buy them, that will give people a reason to pay for it. At least until they own every mech, which takes a long time to earn enough CB to buy them all!
