Sorry if that was answered earlyer - but I wonder if those of us who have enough money for more then one founder's pack can also get more then 1?

You see, choosing that founder's Mech will be extremely difficult for me. I have played many 'Mech games and based on the vids I think that I'll like to drive anything that is not light. Also Catapult and Atlas look really cool. At the very least I'd love to have the choice to take both of them as FounderMechs (also 2 Mechs with boosted c-bill earning are better then 1...)

Well at a guess I’d think they'll sell you as many as you wanted to buy BUT it’s likely that you can only have one founder’s package per account so you’d need to make more accounts to use them all.

You should probably be able to create more than one account (one per founder's pack) without trouble. However, the only concern is that it may be against whatever EULA the game is under to do so.

I'm with Gridian here, I'd like to be able to pick up the Atlas and the Catapult. If not... I guess I'll only buy one. First world problems, eh?

Edit: I accidentally a letter.

Well, we don't know how big that lifetime bonus is. If it's a mere 10% I'd be quite happy with picking just one Founder's Mech and purchasing any other mechs I really like via C-Bills or MC.

The custom cosmetics are nice but not being bl to have multiple founder' mechs won't be a dealbreaker; The custom mech is really only the icing on the cake, for me the most important part of the package is the $80 worth of MC for only $60

We had suggested a while back that if you're limited to the 4 inception mechs (or maybe 1 of each weight class, your choice), it would be nice if you COULD buy additional inception Mechs.

$80 for 1
$95 for 2
$110 for 3
$120 for 4

That way PGI could earn up to 50% more revenue from players for this one time deal.

This question has come up often so hopefully the devs will put out some more information, as it currently stands you should assume that you can only get one founder's 'mech, with that in mind there is a very difficult decsion ahead of you.

What Battletech veterans have been doing is planning which 'mech they would prefer to use in each weight class, for example if you want to use the Cicada and not the Hunchback it wouldn't be smart to get the Hunchback founder 'mech.

The next way to narrow down your selection is to consider what you'll enjoy more, in the case of Catapult versus Atlas the Atlas is more versatile and you can have a number of load outs which change how you play. the catapult will always be stuck using primarily missiles. If you don't want to play every game by just dumping missiles into far away targets then maybe the founder Catapult isn't a good option.

Keep in mind the exact details of which variant the founer 'mechs are has not been mentioned, the hardpoint options and default loadout will be very important in any of your decision making.

Well, If I am to choose I'll take the Atlas. Whatever MW game I've played getting an Atlas was always my primary goal.
I know that there are better assaults, but the Atlas - you know - is the Atlas  .

Best part is that we can choose our normal starter Mech too (as I read somewhere), which'll be something medium.

GIEF Beta Key pliiiiis!

I apologize for asking this my friends, since it most likely has been answered somewhere. I remember reading the article about the founders packs and the pricing, (can't seem to find that article though) Question is, when are the founders packs becoming available for purchase? Again, apologies if this was answered somewhere

Think of it this way:

Spending 60$ to gets you 80$ + Mech (10$), that is special (10$) + 2 months premium (10$ x2)

Comes out to "60$ gets you 120$."

They kinda can't let you load up on it.

How would THAT be enforceable in a free to play model? Heck its really not in a non free to play one for that matter. I run two accounts myself in games like EVE Online, I know people that use more than that.

Some games will let you activate additional Game Codes on the same account not sure if this will be one of them.

I play WoT and it has an "Activate Bonus Code" for all the promotions it has.

If MW:O has this then you would be able to add all 4 inception mech's to the same account.

I too play WoT and buy every goldtank I can get my hands on - I am just that kind of guy :D . Others buy expensive cars, I buy game stuff :) .

On topic: I'd buy 4 inception packs for $240 immediately - if I can activate those 4 packs on the same account and if I can get that account to europe for launch. DEV's: Is that not enough motivation to allow account migration for launch? ^_^

I think he means put it into one account.

Being able to do that would be insane really, well if it stacked the bonuses it gives. It would be Pay 2 Win on a crazy level.

But I do like the idea of players being able to get more of the mechs, maybe they should allow a player to buy the $60 + $30 to make a $90 combo.

As I mentioned above, I am a WoT driver as well with more then 5'300 battles. Many people mention that "pay to win" thingy... From experience, I can assure you that this is simply not true. More money (c-bills here, gold in WoT) only allows you to get more equipment. Even more here then in WoT, where everybody fights with exactly the same weapons (a medium laser is the same, if it is fired from an Atlas or a Raven as you well know).

How you HANDLE that equipment is up to you. Having more Mechs does not make you, me or anyone else a better player. All you, me or anyone else has is - well - more Mechs. Weapons: More money means that I can equip my Mechs more optimally. Waiiiit... What is "optimal"? Basically that changes from battle to battle based on the composition of the team, the terrain, environmental temperature etc. So there too more money means exactly nothing.

All more money really does is give me more toys to play with in shorter time. A player who chooses not to pay a single Dollar also can get every Mech (except of course the Inception Mechs) and weapon there is in the game. It only takes more time, thats the only REAL difference.

See - and shoot  - you on the battlefields :D

I'm not going to lie. Day one Atlas has a... definite appeal. But realistically, I'm looking at a Hunchie if it's only a single pack per account. If I can double up, Hunchie+Atlas. I doubt that I'd triple as the Jenner isn't my favorite light, and the Catapult is... ergh. I like the look, but I don't like missile boats.

I'm stuck in an admittedly odd and almost unique situation. I normally reside in the NA region, but am currently overseas for the beta and launch periods. I have net, not always greatest, but decent. Now, what I'm waiting for a response on is how this is going to affect the founders package purchase and connection to the game servers. I can't fix my IP, and won't be back in the states until the end of the year.
