Ok, this is not to say X weapons should be balance this or that way, this type of balancing is (in my opinion) worthless and won't solve nothing because you will always have some users saying that the new balance is wrong.
I would like to suggest (I don't make a poll because nobody knows me so even getting people to read this will be hard) following games like ArmA or Flashpoint as for weapons, armor and damage in general, in those games you get shot by a simple handgun a couple times and you are dead, you get shot in the leg one time and you will have a busted leg, if you don't die from a bullet you surely start to bleed.
If MWO should follow this approach to damage realism it would be (in my opinion) the best change they could make and this game it's supposed to be a mech simulator, I mean, a missile (just one) shouldn't be seen as "oh look, someone spit at my mech" and the same goes for every other weapon.

use ArmA/Flashpoint damage realism on this game, should be awesome.
